I was missing my cycle on this day. Because most of the people I saw passing the bridge was in cycle. No motor led vehicle is allowed at the bridge. Because now it is more like a historical place than a bridge. As it is the oldest one in this region and the remaining wooden bridge on top of the Rhine river.
The view at both the sides was awesome. I started from Liechtenstein side and reached the Swiss side. Swiss side it was not a big city. But at Liechtenstein side, it was their capital Vaduz. So I saw no car, no motor led vehicle in Switzerland side,but in Liechtenstein side, it was full of traffic.
I had a lot of time on that day, so I went into the Swiss side and then took some rest by sitting at the river side. It was very calm and scenic.
:::: highlighted points on Old Rhine Bridge :::::
1. in the local language (German) it is called Alte Rheinbrücke
2. The Old Rhine Bridge is on top of River Rhine and connects Switzerland and Liechtenstein
3. At swiss side it is Sevelen and at Liechtenstein side it is their capital Vaduz
4. This bridge is a real landmark and the last remaining wooden bridge over the Rhine.
5. In 1871 the first version of this bridge was built.
6. The structure was 30 years later due to poor maintenance in such a decaying state that the construction of the new bridge was cheaper than the renovation of the old one. In 1901, a new bridge was built on the pillars of the old bridge and with its structural wood.
7. Until 1975, this bridge was the only connection between the municipalities of Vaduz and Sevelen (6 tonnes capacity)
8. Today it is intended only for pedestrians and cyclists.
9. After the dam burst in Schaan in 1927, the new bridge was also raised again to withstand the rising waters.
10. As part of the renovation in 2008-2010, the foundations were replaced by a new concrete base and wooden yoke and rebuilt damaged structural wood.

I have started creating and uploading videos here, only because of capturing the moments with some details. Otherwise every time I change my phone , I lose all those videos. I have lost many, or they are kept unnoticed at the corner. So this is kind of a video diary. I am not here to be popular, rather it is the best medium for free storage and sharing easy links with my friends and relatives. There are a lot of people with a lot of problems, who cannot travel , for lack of money, lack of time, lack of health, so somehow if they get inspired by this, it will be an add on benefit for me. I always feel that three dimensions of life are Time, Health and Money. We should always be grateful if we have those. Live life happily using those 3 tools.

I am a software engineer by profession and a traveller by passion. I have already worked with organizations like Cognizant, IBM, Accenture, Gamesys, Ballys, Onprocess Tech, Data42, Philip Morris Intl etc. From diff locations. I travel using my job or better to say I do a job for travel. I was lucky that I could blend my profession with my passion.I have a dream to visit all the countries of the world, all the corners of the world. I have a wish to see all the cultures , their emotions closely. Will try to learn their ways and take the best parts of everything. I want to be the Frog of the Ocean, not of the pond.
