The MotoGP World Championship will be held at the
Assen Circuit in the Netherlands this weekend, followed by the German GP at the
Sachsenring from July 11 to 13. At the end of August 2025, there will be a
new European location on the MotoGP calendar: the Balaton Park Circuit in Hungary will celebrate
its debut in the MotoGP World Championship. The new track on the MotoGP calendar is located
on the northeastern shore of Lake Balaton, Supersport rider Marcel Schrötter recently completed a private test with his WRP Ducati
team as part of a track day in Hungary. On Wednesday of this week, many riders from the
World Superbike visited the Balaton Park Circuit. Honda MotoGP test rider Stefan Bradl has
completed test at the new track on Thursday. Alongside , test riders from other manufacturers
have also finished of a day of private test at the Balaton Park Circuit.
“All test teams will be represented by one rider .
The plan is to give impressions to Michelin and collect data for the
manufacturers,” Bradl told SPEEDWEEK.com, all the riders attended at Balaton PArk are Matteo
Baiocco will ride for Aprilia, Pol Espargaro on KTM, Augusto Fernandez on Yamaha,
and Michele Pirro for Ducati. The team and test rider gather of vital
information for the French tyre manufacturer ahead of the upcoming first
race weekend in August. KTM and Pol Espargaro became a
fastest bike and rider on the test.
