Die Höllenberg Trail Trophy in Spirkelbach ist für mich jedes Jahr ein absolutes Highlight! Kaum ein Rennen bietet so viele und schöne Trails wie dieses – über 60 % Trailanteil auf nur 25 Kilometern sprechen für sich.
Das Rennen fühlt sich eher wie ein Cross Country Marathon an: schnell, technisch, intensiv. Nach einem verhaltenen Start konnte ich mich zügig vom Feld absetzen und den Vorsprung mit ca. 40 Sekunden Vorsprung auf Matthias Müller und Maximilian Vetter ins Ziel bringen.
Und im Gegensatz zum letzten Jahr: diesmal habe ich alle Bäume stehen gelassen! 😄🌳

Von dem Rennen habe ich auch nur Gutes gehört, für mich aber leider zu weit weg. Glückwunsch zum Sieg! Flight Attendant ist schon ne feine Sache. Auch dass das System durch die letzten Fahrten dazulernt. Theoretisch könnte man ja ein paar Tage vor einem XCO Rennen den Rundkurs ein paar mal abfahren, damit sich das System auf die Strecke einstellt. Dann hätte man im Rennen das perfekte Fahrwerk Setup. Bist Du jetzt am Wochenende beim Rursee Marathon dabei?
War das erste mal dabei. Hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht. Die Strecke hat echt brutale Anstiege für jemand der jetzt nicht tagtäglich trainiert, aber die technischen Abschnitte machen echt Laune. Ging sogar super mit dem Hardtail und nur 100 mm Federweg, aber absenkbare Sattelstütze. Grüße vom Nachbar aus Bickenbach🌞
