Ipswich Cycle Park

Ipswich Cycle Park in QLD (Queensland) is a fantastic no cost facility for all the community to use. It features 3 tarmac cycle loops: 400m, 1080m and 1310m (bicycles or running/walking only). The carpark is used Friday nights & weekends by the hockey club in winter but is fine to use outside these times. Opening times are 4am to 10pm daily, there are night lights also. All cyclists must wear a helmet.

hi welcome to IP switch cycle Park I’m on my way to the Brisbane Valley rail trail tomorrow so it’s a day before I’m going to practice going around this nice tarmac [Music] Loop so this car pack is off huum Street in IP switch so it’s a really good facility here there’s a small Loop which is 400 m track two which is 1,080 M around here and then the full loop all the way around the edge is 1.3 km so you got to go clockwise if you’re walking and running you got to go anticlockwise you can’t park here on Friday nights Saturdays and Sundays during winter cuz it’s a hockey car park but it’s spring at the moment during the week so I can park here it’s a beautiful facility here great for training for all cyclists it’s mainly for Road cyclists but any cyclist can go around here got some toilets up here can’t wait to check it out there’s a rack here to lean your bikes by the Saddles so the toilets are closed at the moment so maybe they’re only open for actual events here so the park was open in 2018 it was envisioned by the 24-7 cycling safety fund which was founded in response to the tragic death of several cyclists on IB roads so I’m just going to start the clockwise Loop so Walkers and Runners got to go anti-clockwise here cyclists clockwise on this main section so it can be fast Road cyclists so just got to give way to other cyclists stay left if there’s faster ones and let them overtake [Applause] [Music] so that was an amazing 1.3 km Loop all on tarmac nice and smooth it’s got lights here for night time as well it’s open at 4: in the morning if you really can’t so it’s a really great facility so if you’re in the ipswitch area check out the I cycle Park fantastic facility here great for all cycle users runners and Walkers so thanks for watching see you next time check out the bvrt video coming out soon [Music]
