let’s be honest if Remco Evanipole is going to win the 2025 Tour to France he’s not just racing against Tatty Pogachar and Yonas Fingigo he’s racing against UA team Emirates and Visma Lisa Bike two super teams two armies NASA level support remco Evanapole well the team brought in super helper Spaniard Bask Rider Mikuel Landa last year to support him but now Land’s out crashed on the first stage of the Giratalia broke him back not going to be there to support Remco Evanapole when the tour to France starts on July 5th in Liil the racing well it’s live and on demand for our viewers in Canada on flow bikes so let’s break down what Remco Evanapole has because he has the willpower he has the watts but not the team strength it’s going to be a second tour of France after last year winning the TT and finishing third overall behind winner Pogachar in second overall Vingo Ramco well we can rely on the German rider Max Chapman who’s not always consistent elon Van Wieldder Vervake and Valentine Parapentre but when this team stacks up against Vizma and UAE it’s not on the same level not the same mountain support that you’d want in the tour of France if you’re going there to win the race overall look at UAE for example tad Pagotchar’s team it’s a super team jao Mida Adam Yates Pavl Civikov Mark Solair a small country could win independence with a lineup like that then over at Visma you have the Belgian riders Teh Benote Walt Vanart you have the Americans Matteo Jorgensson Seep Cus all the riders know how to handle themselves in the mountains and they know how to problem solve to get Vingo out of any sort of problem these teams are going to put pressure on Remco Evanapole trying to win the tour to France remco Evanapole is going to be basically riding a 3,500 km TT all the way around France and it’s going to test his will it’s going to test his energy as he tries to do something in the tour sure will and energy will go a long way but not far enough when you’re isolated on von 2 and you’re looking around at Tatty Pagachar still has two teammates like he’s out for a Sunday group ride but make no mistake Remco Evanapole is no slouch world champion TT winning that in Zurich then the Olympics road race and time trial he’s got the skills to pay the bills but maybe not the team support we won’t know until the dust settles on the Tur of France one thing’s for certain though we’re all going to be wondering Hermco Evanapole’s future it adds another layer of drama to the overall pitcher because his contract goes on through 2026 but there’s already rumors in the air that the teams may be willing to buy him out of his contract teams like team Indios teams like team Red Bull Bora Hansro who need GC leaders and Remco Evanipole who need support he has Sudol Quickstep but they don’t have the financial power to bring in the support to build him that team that he needs to win the tour to France what’s your thoughts drop them down below can Remco Evanipul do it with the team that he has against those super teams of Vizma and UAE how do you think it’ll all pan out one thing’s for certain it’s going to be a battle of the teams as we head into the tour of France and the question around Remco Evipole if his team Sudall Quickstep is up to the job

  1. his form is the more limiting factor still building from spending so much time off the bike in the early season. he can do very well for 2 weeks but his form will get tanked in week 3 even if he had the strongest team around him.

  2. Every year, everything changes. That's the TDF. New giants suddenly astound us with an entirely different game, and some just fade away. I fear Remco's lack of pinnacle support will crack his nut. This dilemma won't wait for a solution. The 2025 TDF is here..

  3. I think Patrick Lefever made a big mistake by going all in on Remco and not locking in Almeida to a long term contract.

  4. It's not just about the teams. Swap Jonas or Pog out of their respective teams and put Remco on either Visma or UEA and they still wouldn't be able to pull Remco up the mountain quick enough to win the TDF. While Pog and Jonas would be a solid lock for 1st and second no matter what team they are on as long as they don't suffer any injuries. Remco was a far distant third last year, and this year his opponents for a 3rd place podium spot looks stronger.

  5. Rem will bleed time. Alot of time. Best of the rest (3rd) ? I doubt it. Zero team support. Expect uae or visma 2nd seed to do better. Would be happy to be proven wrong

  6. Every Mountaintop finish will likely be a team battle up to the final climb and then it will be the Pogi and Jonas show, with Tadje the favorite. Remco has yet to show he can hang with those two when they go full gas at the end of a climbing stage. He is usually there for the start of the final climb, but gets dropped pretty quickly, so I don’t think a better team is going to make the difference.

  7. Remco is a great rider and climber just not a consistent top five in the world climber. Unfortunately the tours are all built around a super skinny climber.

  8. Remco should accept the reality he is a one day race guy and run with it !! His arrogance to think he is on the level of Pog or Jonas is killing him 😂😂

  9. Given what we saw at Dauphine, the brutal mountain stages on this year’s TdF and lack of firepower at Soudal QS, it might be a very long three weeks for Remco.
