Hello to you, I am again in the Préalpes d’Azur park I am going up the Gorges du Loup towards the Col de Bleine which is 28 km away. It is very steep and it is magnificent as you can see the weather is quite foggy we should find the sun once above there I rejoin the road that I took last time in the opposite direction on either side of Gréolières which is a little bit spectacular, we will pass it in the other direction Well, Gréolières is not very very high, there we are, roughly, at 720 m altitude there currently I have accumulated 818 m of positive altitude difference to lighten the tour a little this morning I left from Menton Garavan station, why Garavan? because there, people have not yet gone up to Menton and Carnolès so it is very practical to put the bike on the train in the place provided and then I got off at the Nice Riquier station there we arrive at the entrance to de Gréolières town center that way, I’m going to take a little walk through the town center to see if I can find a fountain for… …to leave with my two very full cans of water ah well there you go, it there are wash houses it’s not marked non-potable water, it’s drinkable! and here we go again and well I’m going to taste Decathlon electrolytes lemon flavor it’s not bad normally when riding an electric bike, I usually don’t take them… …finally there, like the tour, it is a little longer and there is a little more elevation… …since it’s summer I sweat a little more… …I said to myself that it wasn’t so bad to try electrolytes… …and there It’s the first time I’m taking it, well it’s not that it’s very hot at the moment… it’s 17 and a half. At Cagnes sur mer just now it was almost 24° but here we are at 915 m altitude still 17.5°, to have this temperature there in the fog, it’s because it’s the summer ! another 15 km to arrive at the Col de Bleine, it is marked like this in the Komoot application. This app is still practical! I’m starting to get used to it a little bit ah there we go, we’re arriving at the somewhat spectacular part of the road, but there… …I just hope that at some point I’ll emerge from the fog normally, no more we go towards the north and the higher we go, the more we have to get out of the fog. I looked at the weather radar in Cagnes sur mer and I haven’t looked at it since, these arches are still spectacular! ah a photo there I don’t do the whole length of the collar but… take the photo of the department! it’s for the climb to Gréolières the snows yes a little ray of sunshine that’s a good sign that’s it well the sun has come back, finally we had to wait at an altitude of 1050 m to see it so after Gréolières, I’m going head towards three very beautiful villages there will be the village of Le Mas, the village of Aiglun and then the village of Roquestéron, further down it is very nice that the sun has returned and then that it is 29° now is good, compared to 17 degrees earlier, I think I’m going to be spoiled now! I find myself on a plateau. Drive like that for, I don’t know, about ten kilometers… …before turning right towards the Col de Bleine and the village of Aiglun There we arrive at the junction for the sports resort of winter of Gréolières the snows I will arrive at the junction to go towards the Col de Bleine and Aiglun Col de Bleine open it would have been a shame! 30 degrees changes everything! it’s good. Col de Bleine 3 km half Col de Beine departure 5.6 km… you’ll understand… ah yes it must be “departure” but in the other direction! It’s all Komoot! I suppose we must be at the Col de Bleine, we’re going to see some new landscapes there , yeah, it’s pretty eh, it’s worth stopping a little at the edge there, let’s admire the new points of view. That’s for sure, we passed the Col de Bleine there then the next crossing point is 4 km away and it is the Col de Pimpinier so direction Aiglun and Roquestéron aiglun 16 km we went down to 1114 m altitude and I have accumulated 1521 since the start I am exactly at 75 km out of about 150 it’s been 6h15 since I left and I drove 3h55 Hello. You have drinking water there, you have a grocery store on the square or the inn . Thank you Madam. Good day. Have a good day. So. It’s so cute! it’s good to know for next time he has a grocery store but there I don’t need anything, I already have my 4 hours I’m going to arrive at the clues of Aiglun you’ll see, it’s quite impressive! I will arrive at the village of Roquestéron which is on the Estéron river and from Roquestéron, I will start to go up through the Col des Ferres Direction Conségudes Here I leave La Roque sur Estéron and I go up towards the Col des Ferres Conségudes 10km, Bouyon 20 I have 48 km left to do and I will finish the tour at Nice Saint-Augustin station in 2h30 it is 6:44 p.m…. no more time to eat… yeah it’s not going to be early yeah it’s going to make me around 9:30 p.m. at Nice Saint-Augustin station the last time I went up it was all covered and now it’s all clear it was worth it to do the walk again! that’s it, it’s starting to climb a little more. There I am 1 km from the Col des Ferres, which is at an altitude of 618 m . Bouyon is 6 km away. So here it is the village of Ferres I still have 33 km to go to Nice… and it’s 7:44 p.m. I’m looking for a place to stop to eat my evening snack perfect, it’s quiet , there’s a little fountain , that’s it, I ate. There is still about an hour of sunshine and I am 12 km from Carros This is the village where I ate just now, the village of Bouyon The view is superb there we are far away but we have a view of the mountain range towards the Mercantour yeah it’s beautiful we should soon arrive above the Var Here is the Var Here is the first view of the Var and you can even see the sea at the far end there There I am at the exit from the village of Broc I find that the point of view is nice with the view of the village and then the peaks of Mercantour behind There I have a dozen kilometers left to go to Nice, more or less and then after return to Menton There, that will make me a nice 150 km ride it’s 9:20 a.m., there’s still quite a bit of daylight and it’s still pleasant… …there’s not a lot of traffic though I hope you enjoyed this video and that You will like this tour The Préalpes park d’Azur it’s really a very, very nice place in mid-season it’s really great to go and ride there it’s not too high it was really a nice place! Well I’ll tell you until next time…
