Cycling 63KM in Portugal’s Central Mountains – Coimbra to Buçaco

Join us on a stunning one-day cycling journey through the heart of central Portugal!
We started our ride in Coimbra, heading through peaceful green villages and rolling hills towards the spa town of Luso, where we refreshed ourselves with pure spring water from local fountains.

From there, the real adventure began — we entered the magical Buçaco National Forest (Mata Nacional do Bussaco), one of the most beautiful and historic woodlands in Portugal. We passed by the majestic Palace Hotel Buçaco, the iconic Portas de Coimbra, and climbed all the way up to the breathtaking Cruz Alta viewpoint, with panoramic views over the mountains.

63 kilometers, 760 meters of elevation gain, seven riders, and countless moments to remember.
This is not just a bike ride — it’s a perfect cycling escape into nature, history, and hidden gems of Portugal.
