Hi and welcome to WannaGoBiking. My name is Arjan and it is time for a new cycling adventure!
Already back to the Alsace for a few videos :-). In this episode I finally visit the Bartholdi museum in to Colmar. Very unlike me, I managed to set out for a little morning stroll through Colmar. Amazing how much you can see without tons of tourists in front of everything 😉
Hope you like it, enjoy your rides and stay safe out there !

Right here we are downtown Colmar It’s even too early for the tourist train to be in action And that over there is the museum Unterlinden It’s one of the most famous places here in Colmar Maison des têtes and the first time ever I see it without hords of tourists in front of it Cool So like in most French cities you can actually follow the signs on the pavements if you want to follow a touristy route So here you can of course follow the sign you see right here And here we have one of my favorite restaurants in the city : La cocotte de grand-mère It’s only open during weekdays so and you have to reserve your spot as is the case in most restaurants in France these days But it’s a nice cozy one Oh this is so nice in the morning I do expect it to be a bit more busy when I reach the quartier des Tanneurs Well if you’re in the Christmas spirit of things this is the town for you year round I have to say Ah Maison Pfister It’s probably the most selfied house in Colmar during the day, there’s so many people trying to make a picture but everybody else is standing in the way And that’s another very very famous building the Koifus Koifus I think Yeah The old customs building 1480 Wow It has this beautiful these beautiful green tiles on top Oh wow You are big guys Oh my gosh This is one’s cool as well I mean every building here has a story So that’s the Marche Couvert the market hall I’ve just reached one of its rare occasions where it’s actually closed it’s closed on Mondays Oh dear So what’s the history behind this one ? oh it’s not even that old Okay Oh well it’s only a century and a half That won’t do Lots of locks here of course And that’s a one or two Michelin starred restaurant, JYS Never been unfortunately That’s right, It’s now called Bord’eau So what are the prices here oh it’s not even That’s not ridiculous No escapingother tourists is there? So I think this should be the last of the entries from Colmar So see you later Ciao
