Finally sharing the Zeus I snagged last year when I needed a project to help me off of grief island. Its previous life was in triathlons, aero bars ‘n’ all, and it had some hard miles and deep grime on it but survived with mostly original Zeus parts. As best I can tell based on the limited info available, it’s likely from the late 70s or early 80s? Reynolds 531 sticker indicates 1981 or earlier. Not sure of the model, as all the decals just say Zeus, with Zeus 2000 on the fork crown.

I spent the winter and then some deep cleaning, degreasing, greasing, rebuilding then replacing the damn freewheel body because of a broken pawl, cables, pads, chain, jockey wheels, yadda yadda, and now it’s done… sorta… at least rideable! I have a pair of NOS brake levers with beautiful original hoods that I’ll get to next time I wrap the bars, and I’d like to lace up a nice pair of tasteful rims at some point — it came with one MA and one Ambrosio Elite. Still debating whether to do fresh paint/decals or keep the race-scarred patina, but that’ll be down the road.

Pardon the pragmatic spoke reflectors — just trying to survive in these early morning streets. And yes, the frame’s a tad tall for me, but I have a silly long torso that loves the length of the top tube.
