A ride out through Hartlepool on my Suzuki VStrom 650 from Summerhill Country Park, Park Road, York Road, Victoria Road Church Square, Church Street, Tower Street, Murry Street and more passing the Royal, Wetherspoons, Hartlepool College of Further Education, with Chatty Commentary and passing the Police Station too.

okay so just leaving Summer Hill uh Country Park left onto Kakort Road i think what I’ll do is I’ll take you down Park Road well why not here in uh in Artipola take you down Park Road absolutely uh brilliant this part of the S used to hang about there in them bushes oh as a kid you know what I mean playing out in the bushes catapult and everything like that and I always play fields i lived over the fields there to the left i did indeed north Brook quite posh there just went through uh past uh gray house i forget what it’s called there anyway turning right here we’re going down Park Road let’s be Avenue into Parker Road there we go and this is a mile long from top to bottom this one this road it is indeed got some friends that live here on the left harry Hornsy who used to own Heartleyool United used to live on the right here yeah and so did me mates i think they bought the house after him and um he moved down to Gloucester as a youngster anyway yeah quite quite a nice area part of town um Park Road it is indeed el Gro School along there on the right where I used to compare the summer fair for them every year and it’s about June now I think another one along there few mates live down that street as well me account lives in this street no he doesn’t not Belmont he lives this one yeah how good is that yeah me account lives in this one lovely person our Jed really really is nice person emont Gardens lives down there no he’s moved from there over to the headland now but that’s where he used to live eling Road know some people that live there as well coming down Park Road the Salvation Army here on the right there you go me mate Michael what do we call him michael begins with an H his surname anyway he’s down in London now he’s went into politics but he lives down in London and what a wonderful guy he was he’s a conservative like but there you go parking brilliant uh brilliant bar that apparently quite cheap and reasonable well quite reasonable not cheap nowhere’s cheap these days sam’s pool how good is that and back left now on to York Road the uh the dancing cup there on the right karen N studios Tilly and Irvin and just mini market and Lloyd’s Bank and the central hub the community hub which is the old library there that’s absolutely brilliant there cafe in there and all sorts oh the bobbies the bobbies they’re on you they’re on you how good was that you seen the bobbies going and everything brilliant stuff you can’t turn right at these uh traffic lights i say sometimes they knack the traffic up but I’ll go straight on and have to go around the block as to what you’ve got to do uh to get all the way down the right road are you here all right I’ll show you where we going victoria Road yeah Graange Road up to the left and the 689 down to the right back past me mates uh Bingo Hall which is um a community center now a charity ran like food bank type hub place and uh that movie Jacko Door was uh filmed in there which I keep going on about but yeah movie filmed in Artipole brilliant stuff you got to watch that one Jack door fantastic made by a heartion as well uh WA Smith in Assurance probably one of the oldest insurance brokers independent insurance brokers in heart that used to be an avenue road and that used to be called Martins’s Bank it was a bank at one time they bought that and took it over but I respect any small businesses like that small independent businesses like that spice Hut that’s meant to be dead dead nice siccilanos that’s a nice takeaway marco Polo that’s another great one virginia’s Food Bank that’s what it’s called on the right anyway turning right just before Quick Fit we’re going to go past the police station should I take you run out the back of the police station and we’ll count how many cars there is uh should we police cars and everything like that hey they’ve got paperwork to do sometimes you know it’s not all been about on the bait I’ll tell you but back of the police station now my old office was up to the right hand side there up to the top probably on the first second third floor or third second floor anyway that’s a nick where they used to take the prisoners in they bring them in through they only open that on special occasions now and they take them through to Middlesbrough the crusty office they do interviews and everything like that voluntary interviews and everything i like that there the old um engineers club the old engineers club there and I’ll pull the back of a which is the Wesley which is busy being done up absolutely fantastic this as well million of pound being spent on this doing it up and putting it all together but uh yeah that’s where the radio heart first started in there in that room just up there where the flag is can you see that the flag pole anyway flags looking a bit decrepit in it yeah but that’s where radio harpel started with Danish Kohley the owner of that i approached him and said “Can we do our radio station from your hotel?” And he said “Yes.” Brilliant bloke he was indeed plenty of adverts running like you know for it didn’t do out uh but anyway right let’s have a look um down Church Street and um yeah we’ll go down Church Street this used to be Church Square this is called and this used to be a roundabout i remember coming around this on a roundabout the bus station which was there where the bridge to fly over is uh is now which we’re going to go past yeah you have to watch for the left arrow going as people you know what I mean and uh sometimes when you’re bib [ __ ] they get angry at you and you’re just reminding them to go cuz you can’t sit there all day can you anyway this is the 689 here on Marina Way over the uh bridge see we got a left checking left it’s all safe to do so checking right just in case you never know do you right indicator on Morrison’s filling station morrison’s over there uh the supermarket United Football Ground over there cinema View Cinemas’s over there pizza Hut and the train station is off here to the left i’ll I’ll not pull in the train station might take you the back way into the train station we have to wait for the green arrow to the right before we go stacks of people I pull off now and wait to like go through the traffic which is quite dangerous cuz very very busy that is indeed right let’s have a look they take ages the sometimes i’m sure they see you coming on a motorbike they think ah he can wait if he’s out enjoying him see he can wait in the traffic that’s what they’re doing on the church square now this used to be the old bus station here and the use of the BMX track as well bus station bmx track smith and Graeme solicitors my solicitors there the Ralph Ward Jackson or the Ward Jackson ralph Ward Jackson’s yeah look there he is but that’s the weather spoons that we passed juniper Lounge idols me mate runs and owns that john the Hill card and other mate owns that the Dillshard me other mates own that one club H uh the Hornies have that I think sam Booker down here in Harlem i took you up to the other one didn’t know the windmill ganium club upstairs there snooker hall and everything like that coming down Church Street shiras Busbies i think that’s reopened again me my favorite pub in Artapo the Royal yeah there you go anyway back up Church Street there we go my wife had a work experience in that bank there i think that was called the Yorkshire Bank back then yeah it was called the Yorkshire Bank and there used to be a wall here and I used to wait on her getting out on a dinner that’s when I was 16 and she was 17 hill Carter Hotel we’ll go past the um Oh that’s a good one blue Valentine’s there juniper Lounge again as he seen me yeah you got to be careful of people down here cuz they like drinking and driving you say anyway past the Ward Jackson brilliant pub that one brilliant pub love it to indeed you notice how I love all the pubs the Clarendon good karaoke in there the Jackson’s Arms which messed to own all those years ago when I was a teenager 14 year old indeed i remember that one it was Derelick my dad bought that i think he paid 17,000 quid for that back then which is a lot of money a lot of money in the 80s 1982 I think took me a year to do it up like because it was absolutely derelict and everything like that full of pigeon poop you know how it is as we come back to the college of FE fantastic college and I go back to school there i did indeed pass me um level three in education and training i might go back and do me level four or indeed um me level three in counseling i might uh do that uh this year uh come September I think I will get the uh window out the way come out with a qualification in the new year 2026 with a new qualification i’ll tell you what we’ll do we’ll go right at these lights here cuz I can okay so just coming past the uh Grand Hotel now there’s uh we’ll let him uh let him cross the road some strange folk in Artler but uh safety is paramount for folks now I want to go left here so I think what I’ll do there you go there you go i said some strange folks at Arpool didn’t I back of the three brass monkeys i’m going to nick through this car park any where that lad’s going so I’ll give them time to nip through cuz I don’t want to bother them or scare them you know scare the wits out of them just going to nip through here and it’s a head only so I’ll just go ahead he won’t turn right or anything like that cuz that’s illegal naughty you can’t do that good job i didn’t in it there you go sam’s pool bar park Road Barbers Shotton’s kitchen and bedrooms and bathrooms anyway I threw the cut through from Park Road through to Graange Road and why not should I run you down Merry Street we’ll have a look what Murray Street’s like they call it Curry Street and uh I’m not being like um you know obnoxious or anything like that it smells absolutely gorgeous you drive down um Merry Street or called Curry Street and there’s that many Indian takeaways or Indian restaurant Indian themed restaurants i don’t think they’re Indians that run them uh but Indian themed um sorry takeaways it’s absolutely gorgeous the smell is tremendous now I’m going to pull in on the left here i hope they got what I’m doing yeah there you go and into Murray Street pastor the Douglas Hotel there on the left we haven’t got to it yet oh that church is lovely that one Catholic Church catholic Church and a uh Church of England next to it in Harmony you see they can be together that used to be Old Doctors there on the right what is it now usg foreign Food Spice Bazaar navy Club there on the right this this on the left is um the salam center it’s absolutely brilliant community center that run by me mates it is indeed dine at home canon chef elos chippy me mate has that he has a lot of premise down the balty that’s absolutely lovely as well another Indian takeaway here called um chili and spice right I hope you’ve enjoyed that little bit of a tour uh bring you around uh past um should I go back along York Road for you rabby Road I mean yeah I’ll um onto Heart Lane now nothing coming heartland Rabby Road traffic lights doing a right here would help if you had the indicators on pro you know some people I totally dislike them when they like that’s not road rage it’s just use your indicator so the people can get an idea of uh where you’re at you know what I mean anyway down York Road and then I think I shall call it a day as we head uh back past the uh bingo hall here indeed rem’s place another Indian takeaway on the right here there you go the Indian cottage that’s another nice one in fact none of them are oral in Artipool they’re all gorgeous i’ve got to say that cuz they’re on me mates as well mind oh indicator left on that was a silly move wasn’t it was indeed look the registration front to There we go there we go right to right here and um I’ll pull up just at the um what’s it called the medical center spice absolutely gorgeous that in there is indeed that’s one of them restaurants where they don’t serve alcohol and uh I’m not sure whether you can take your own in or not but uh they don’t serve alcohol in there and it’s uh it’s good this is what you got to be careful of on uh on these obviously uh these sort of crossings being able to look past and read the road past the the buses right pulling over here and uh again how good was that i hope you enjoyed yet another video folks a shorten but yet another one
