[Music] okay hi everyone hello um I’m happy to see you happy to talk to you about the study body program thanks for inviting us for the student schin um let me first start with a little introduction who are you hi I’m Julia I’m 22 years old and I’m from ke and I study politics and educational science M uh hi I’m supria and I’m also 22 years old and I’m an international student in Kil and I came from India and I’m studying uh medical Life Sciences okay um for how long uh you’ve been here in Germany so in Germany I’ve been for about 4 months okay and in ke for 1 month uh before before ke I was in heidleberg ah so for some time to learn a bit a bit German okay and um did you heard from the study bodying program in hi highle already or do you uh uh actually my one of my classmates she also joined this program I don’t know how she knew it but she told me about this program great so I joined it okay after coming took you and what was your intention why why do you want to uh join the study body program uh the main reason was that I wanted to uh integrate better with the locals and I want to I wanted to practice German because even though I have learned German but it’s the book German which people don’t use in day-to-day life so if I have a friend I I can learn slangs okay and the language was the biggest or is maybe the biggest um yeah problem to communicate or to integrate yeah but for this thing uh uh I’m glad that I got a studybody who actually forces me to practice more and more German how does this forcing look good good good I have told her to do that and it’s very helpful like whenever I try to switch back to English he tells me try again in German try again so it’s very helpful Yeah so basically when we meet we just try to speak German and of course there’s no pressure so when supria says she just doesn’t feel like speaking German today her brain just can’t doday or whatever we switch to English which is fine but we just try to practice because I know from experience how much that helps just to do it consistently and like when like sometimes we speak German then we say one sentence in English and we switch back but you just have to have that discipline to keep doing it and just also like don’t be afraid to to make any mistakes because obviously when you’re not a native speaker you know like your German isn’t perfect but it doesn’t have to be yeah true absolutely yeah I I try because of her and I think have I improved from definitely the first day so yeah I’m slowly improving and also apart from that uh she also helped me to I told her that I want to change my place because I don’t like where I stay right now and she helps me whenever she gets uh she finds a nice room of her then she shares it to me okay without me even asking so that’s helpful yeah so you know how sometimes in WhatsApp groups when when people move out or something they they just send a message I just pass it on cuz it’s not much of an effort yeah stuff like that so you don’t live in a V orong flat together no not together you live separately and you meet uh regularly on the campus oh yeah or for other activities yeah we have a we also met other Study Buddies and we made a group so called meet up and whenever we are free we meet like last time we went for a picnic at a park what was the name of the park we we went for a picnic at the park in the for palom Schuler okay um yeah with with two other Study Buddies and then the other day we we went to Hamburg with the whole study body Group which is organized by the stent and we also went on a small tour with the bikes um because of Pria wanted to try that yeah and one more thing uh where Julia helped me was I didn’t know what are the cycling rules of Germany because Germany is very strict for its rules what do you mean with straight I I heard some rumors about the cycle path and you have to stay on the cycle path yeah and uh she told me what each sign means for cycling and how uh I was amazed when I found out that there are some uh roads which are just for cycling so which like the yeah which is a new thing for me because that here people prior cycling a lot yeah yeah Supra was really surprised that we have so many paths just for bikes or even the what we call far like where which basically only for bikes or where bikes are the priority yeah um yeah and like sopra told me that in India sometimes you don’t even have a sidewalk for like when you’re walking on foot so that’s really interesting so uh but definitely not cycling Road sometimes we have foot bths sometimes but there there is no psych it’s maybe typical stereo stereotype thing when I think about India it’s just uh people on small uh rollers just horning around and who’s first and yeah after living here I heard when I started uh hearing honking once I was I found it annoying okay yeah even though I was used to it in India but here it’s way there it’s something special when you yeah okay so next question I have to look something up um what do you have in common Maybe funny thing or something a funny thing like I don’t know a funny thing but I think we both really like cooking uhhuh um and like we still haven’t cooked together but we we really we really want to do that we will and we both really like cycling right yeah both when we went for the bike to she really enjoy that and I’m on the bike all the time so I really love that as well something funny I don’t know about something funny but we both are vegetarian oh yeah that’s right okay great that that’s really handy with the cooking thing so me too so there won’t be any conflict with that yeah and what else is gon uh do you want to have micop yeah um let me think something funny I don’t know doesn’t matter we probably haven’t found out yet but I’m sure we will yet the Kil is near maybe something funny will happen there oh yeah you heard about the kilav oh yeah already uh and she told me about it a bit yeah we really have to go we will go there together it would be great I do think so it’s great I’m so looking forward to see um but um when you told me you’re a vegetarian um what do you think about the the the meals in the in the menza is it okay is it tasty for you not as tasty as in India to be honest because uh I think the food in India is more flavorful with more spices so uh but today I found that the same thing uh in India has a different name here but it tastes exactly the same like the lentil soup uh lentil z lensel z so it is same it is known as Dal in India which people eat with rice it tastes exactly the same and it’s a really yeah wow that’s a big compliment for the for the cooks really good yeah so I ate it just today coincidentally okay um so um did you both had some challenges uh that you um mastered um in Germany or you helped her with something really hard special was there something yeah like I said she helped me with she’s still is still helping with with German um she helped me whenever there is a place uh which I don’t know about or for example I wanted to buy plants so I asked her about a plants uh shop and she suggested me that also with the house arts and uh uh recommendation for Doctor which doctor is good okay so she has helped me a lot um I’m glad I can help one question would be did you took part in any of the organized event but you mentioned already you visited Hamburg the trip to Hamburg yeah okay was was the weather good in Hamburg yeah uh the weather was good and after the trip we went to an Indian store together okay so in h yeah and she tried Indian uh Samosa and she loved it okay and also some sweets and on the way back to K we were eting each uh sweets for her yeah that was really fun so the trip to Hamburg was just walking around the city having a look and we went to the roof of the Elon where you had a great View and the weather was great because because I think was the first week it was finally getting a bit warmer okay so you could actually be outside without getting super cold yeah and then after that we we looked up Indian supermarkets because there are no Indian supermarkets in Keel so we went to one in Hamburg and it was a really good idea because the food is really good and I I tried some new new Indian food yeah and then as supria said we we sat in the train and just had the food together and and red it that was really fun because the the train was really full so we had to sit on the STS so we we didn’t really have a seat but then at least we had the food so that was okay time goes by fast yeah okay that definitely helped the viewers um um have a great or good uh feeling about the study body program yes definitely you should all come and join yeah um thank you to you both um for um talking to me um for the YouTube channel for a video and if you are interested in study body program check the link in the uh descrip ion and um yeah I just have to say thank you thanks very much helpful program for if you an international student for I do think so thank you bye bye
