been a oad in Austria and Ka in France in the season finale at talin in April so it’s important that buo hit back this evening can’t afford to call 4-1 down with only three rounds remaining that really would leave him with a mountain to climb here’s your lineup in full then as I say Adam rager missing from the championship regulars after his retirement really did bow out with a flourish last time out in Barcelona his third podium in four rounds he’s third in the championship but he will drop backwards behind Mar and B who are riding tonight grola has already appeared in two rounds SRE Hager appeared back in Madrid so that’s the reason for their starting order and then your newcomers settled by at their current world rankings Alex Canales and then Max Nelson who will have the tough task of being the first Rider out through the sections here tonight newcomer to Top Flight competition Matt Nelson but a familiar name in the sport really came to International prominent when he picked up TRS Machinery in 2022 and started training with their then number one Rider Adam rager spent the last two seasons in the Spanish Championship honestly this evening is going to be a struggle for him he’s appeared in the trial 2 world championship since 2020 last season was 11th overall best finish of ninth behind the likes of Peace green and Hemingway who’ve all found it tough to make an impression in their first X trial appearances there really is no better to Stage for mat Nelson to come of age in the sports section one 5 minutes on the clock and five sections for Matt nson underway nice work there make it to the highest points in this section Number One Max nson it’s just a 30 minute drive from the DMB Arena and although as I’ve said this is going to be a baptism of fire the local crowd will certainly get behind him he is a real home representative [Applause] right fo down here in section number one you’ll notice a familiar face running alongside him as well on the Arena floor tonight that’s Nelson’s assistant another Mark coming there for leaning spoke trying to push on without AC crewing any more two marks now one for putting one for leaning as things stand let see what he can make of this step Matt Nelson the local Rider makes the turn he’s using plenty of time here there are going to be tougher sections to come that might well end in Failure so Nelson using as much time as he needs here to try and bank this section one would be a confidence boosting start for [Applause] [Music] him 3 minutes 20 to go so really is taking his time nice Le there and through to the finish in section number one so a long long time spent in that one now Moving Straight on to section two but the opening step see him immediately fail that’s why I say he was inevitably going to make Back Time on some of the tougher steps section three as I said familiar face in his hit corner tonight Cales his minder who was exra world number five back in 2020 currently without a confirmed ride for 2025 although plenty of rumors doing the rounds test on electric Machinery among others as Milson comes down to a five Mark score in section three bit of a misjudgment there landed awkwardly and couldn’t recover so it’s 12 marks from three sections he’ll be glad he got through that section one just getting an update on on time pretty smart here he’s not rushing into these sections he’s managing things quite nicely rer with no experience of international extra competition of course section four next up daunting task this one he has managed to make it to the top without slipping backwards without over stretching himself and falling the other side venous sections set tonight in Norway M seems to be a little bit more dramatic than previous rounds in some cases not necessarily the level of difficulty but purely the top height on some of these sections this is going to be an important step here for Max Nelson let’s see if he can manage it the 22-year old third in the Norwegian championship of 2023 runner up in 2022 he’s made a slight misjudgment there that will cost him a mark for leaning and one for footing trying to position himself to have a really good go at this set left foot down again so I assume that’ll be three and this is likely to finish in a failure now because if he does get up he’s likely to need a mark to get there and that will push him beyond the three Mark score there it is so that should be a failure by my Reckoning in section number four confirmed as he drops down the other side one to go [Music] baptism of fire as we anticipated for Matt nilson oh the opening step of section five is a failure too so he finishes with a 22 Mark score nice to see him make it successfully through section one he really concentrated on that one he knew it was one he could get through and he dedicated as much time as he could to it over 2 minutes if I remember correctly just in that section number one Matt nson failed the remaining four so it’s a good job for him that he got through that first one just establishing himself at International level 22 marks his finishing Score first time out Matt [Music] Nelson now over to Alex Canales very ambitious young Rider among the youngest in the 125 since he field back in 2019 finished fourth overall that year he stepped up quickly to trial two and since 2022 he’s been riding in the tr1 class in the Spanish Championship so really has pushed himself up the ladder throughout his career starting to reap the rewards winner at the andoran trial 2 GP in 2024 when at that stage he was the championship leader he finished fourth overall he’ll be making his step up to trial GP this summer but you’re seeing his Top Flight debut first here at ex trial stong here section one for Alex Canales knows this one’s achievable because Matt Nelson just Managed IT with a two- Mark score and Alice his 2025 season already up and running with the toose trial indor International two weeks ago failed all five sections in q1 there so be interesting to see how he gets on here tonight Spanish Championship as well underwe as the fifth of the sixth riders in round one in arrera two weeks ago he’s finished fifth in the tr1 class of the Spanish championship for the last last two seasons as well nice precise work in section one thus far and making swifter work of it as well than Matt Nelson before Oh but he’s gone into trouble there somehow manages to stay on the B he’s been given two marks for it though same score Max Nelson finished on in section one he’ll be a little bit disappointed I think about that because until then it had been quite an assured ride but he will make it out without any further damage it is a two Mark score in section number one so if Alex Canales wants to beat Matt Nelson he’s going to have to get through one of these remaining four sections that the local Rider failed Canal is the 2021 Spanish trial 2 Champion pushing on now through Section number two short on the main step there and comes back down for a five Mark score three sections now to make an impression against Max nilson Alex Canales realistically neither of these two inexperienced wild cards would be expecting to uh trouble the top three in q1 they’ll be hoping for a surprise in Q2 but their positions in the rankings assuming they don’t make the Grand Final will be settled based on the q1 performance so important for Canales to get ahead of Nelson here n had already misjudged and come down by this stage Canal is making it through nicely croud appreciated that effort with El laxity as well half the time still remaining about halfway through section three so he’s on course in terms of the [Applause] [Music] stopwatch positioning himself now Alex Gales two minutes to go oh but he slipped on the turn there it’s going to cost him two M marks one for leaning and one for footing you can see the right foot’s down engine base plate could already touched the section as well he wanted to use the to maximize the width of that [Applause] module balance beam he’s onto it but he’s [Applause] down nice set technical sections tonight balance beam and uh some cross plate as well slippery surfaces final is them with a second consecutive failure 12 marks the same score as Matt Nelson at the same stage section number four opening stepped didn’t Prov too much of a problem for nson curved surface put right up there with a kicker at the bottom no issues for Alex Canales either how about this step this is the one that halted Matt Nelson and Alice is up Mark for leaning he won’t mind about that that was really nice work [Music] important that he gets through either this one or section five I’m sure he would prefer both he’s got less than a minute on the clock now another Mark for leaning but he’s making good progress in this section four two Mark indicated by Moreno Piaza on the Arena floor a little bit short on the landing there but he won’t find he’ll press on closing in on the exit gate canalysis through with a two Mark score in section four and that’s good enough to move him clear of matx Nelson who will remain in the position just one section to go only 25 seconds to have a go with it and he’ll get no further than the opening St five Mark score there Max nson finishing on 22 Alex Canales on 19 makes up three marks in section four was some good riding there and elsewhere around the course as well just a bit of an error in section one that cost him those two marks in that one three failures that wasn’t too far away in section three in particular so your first two Riders out Max nson 22 marks Alex Canales 19 Andre hacker meanwhile will be targeting those lead Runners brightly colored delery tonight from jitsy Rider riding a privateer electric gas gas the lone electric bike in tonight’s field SRE Hager his second appearance of the stepen was sick for exra Madrid ahead of Jack Pie and jelar although he was 10 marks from the qualification cut with four failures in six sections in q1 there since that last World Championship outing he took part in the dl12 trial at Sheffield but finished down the order there in seventh behind Jack pie and tied with Harry Hemingway so he’ll be eager as I say to be somewhat closer to the Grand finalist here tonight section one has been two Riders out both top to Mark will be looking for a clean [Applause] [Music] [Applause] realistically not good now this turn and uh final set of rock set out on the Arena floor for sandre hagger short on the landing that’ll be one mark for leaning I would assume G best of anyone so far though three section number one I remember is laying down the gauntlet with the big names in this Championship still to come big night for him first home round for SRE Hager through to the end of section number one might well feel he’s led a mark flip there but he is a mark better than Nelson and Canales who preceded him section number two failed by both Riders so far needs to get through as many as possible of those that have been failed by the first two Riders out sections two three and five none have been completed so far sandre hagger two minutes still on the clock is up one mark for leaning they’ll need the left foot as well once the foot goes down off the foot pig that’s second Mark for Hager he’s made it oh but he teers off there does well to regain his balance straight run now through this Viking Longboat mocked up on the Arena floor taking advantage of the first visit to this region for the world championship SRE haer two and a half minutes on the clock hway through Section number two through to the finish of section number two first Riders to successfully complete that one that’s more like it after four failures for Max Nelson three failures for Alex Canales SRE hagger already has two completed sections out of two section three level of focus will be extreme here for sandre 2022 trial 2 world champion and 2024 Spanish trial 2 Champion best finish today fourth place the XEX Tri Andor laa was back in [Applause] 2022 nice work on The Descent there still clean in section three failed by both of his initial rifles earlier than him in the starting order Ager gets that right onto the balance being narrow platform on which to to land jumps off to the side ready for this next step cross plate surface to try and ride up now one haer is oh he was so close to making it but he tumbles down so it’ll be a failure deep into section three and he’s used so much time he can only really tackle one of the two remaining sections you feel it’s going to be this section four which Canalis completed with a two Mark score Andre Hager on eight Mark even with the two failures would still beat Canales but he’s got his height set somewhat further than that once oh as he slips back down for one Mark there for Le a swed mark there for sandre Hager likely to need another to make it to the top of this de does indeed two [Applause] Mark seconds moves the bike to maximize the space up at the top he slipped off the side of the cylinder it’s disaster for sandre hagger in section four that one he’ll feel should have been achievable and he’s going to be out of time for Section Five he will be infuriated about how that run has ended he does finish ahead of Alex Canales and Matt Nelson that failure in section four might well come back to haunt him he wasn’t far away in section three he wasn’t far away in section four but ultimately only beats Alex Canales by one Mark and inexperienced fellow Countryman Max nilson by four Mark haager takes the provisional lead but you’d expect there to be better runs than that still to to [Music] come so two Norwegians and the first Spaniard out through the sections tonight now it’s over to the first the lone Italian in tonight’s field Mato grola chasing his first top four finish since extra Barcelona start of last year has been close to the final in his two appearances thus far in 2025 only four marks from the cut in q1 at extra clo faral 3 seconds from qualification via Q2 last time out in Barcelona was a game for Mark that separated him from the top three in q1 so grola early in the starting order after spping out the opening two rounds of this season looking to really lay down the gauntlet here minimum expectation will be to beat that from sandre Hager but to be close to the likes of b c Say busto Bo who’ve all been finalists already in 2025 ratola is going to need a near faultless run and he’ll need to be swift about it as well we’ve seen all of the riders in difficulty in terms of time long sections in the DMB Arena graa then looking to become the first Rider clean in section one good work there to make it up still clean had to Scrabble a little to get to the top but managed to avoid taking a mark on leaning land the other side precisely as well there’s a risk there that you could land too heavily and Tumble out of the section Bola trying to avoid taking a mark for leaning think he’s wedged his back tire in there nicely enough he’s asking for instructions now wonder whether he might have been given a mark by Moreno Patza because he was looking over his left shoulder his assistant was to his right more or less [Music] soola tining off to the left but he saved it save as well because none of the Riders thus far have failed this section one ratola has taken a long long time in the open up but he is going to make it through to finish they wait for official confirmation on the score single Mark given that must be marginal because the view we had it looked like it was good from grola just to wedge the back tire in with about without touching the engine base plate of course closer to the action we’ll assume that that’s the right call there grola certainly didn’t think so setion number two 3 minutes to go and grola has to be caught swinging around on the engine base plate there good work from sandre hagger to make it through section two grola is unable to do the same he’s on six marks now from two sections three up next failed by all three Riders so far element of time management on the course tonight again section three as we said previously it’s a long section grasera making Min of those parallel [Applause] bars kind of thing that he uh eats up all day long in training areas friends with Tony B the pair of them train together most of the Riders Frank train together in [Applause] Catalia of course Andor as well two minutes to go in section number three for M grola this one failed by three Riders thus far grola lands nicely on the balance [Music] [Applause] be come on everybody one and a half minut ratola press is on good work to make that step without taking a mark for leaning it’s a clean in section number three failed by his three Rivals before him that’s an important statement result there for mat grola it means he will finish up worth fit in q1 I think he would have been expecting to finish in the top five tonight realistically Nelson and Canales were always likely to be at the rear of the field given their lack of experience ratola certainly outranks Andre Hager as well let’s see what he can make up through the rest of this course one minute section number four failed by Hager but canala has already made it through with two marks patola will expect to make it through as well good work on that jump looked like a a big one from the distance he was attempting it but he does get up on the sump second drop Mark for leaning little more than 30 seconds now for gratar Rola he’s going to get three to the end of this one you’d expect I don’t think he’ll be able to do anything about section five so he might as well use the time carefully here to get through section four without taking any further marks and he does so precisely that’s eight marks after section four but it will be a five in section number five to finish on a 13 Mark score that’s a shame for [Music] grassa wait for Crow there it is black and sound grasera with failures in section two and five finishes on a 13 Mark score five better than SRE Hager and that all comes down to section three where grassa was clean three riding before him had all failed graa Le on 13 hagger second on 18 Canales third on 19 Milson bringing up the rear on 22 top four in the world rankings from last year still to come in C next up still looking for his first Podium of this season three finals in four round so far it’s not been q1 and Q2 that have been his weakness B who finished third in Talon in October and second in Pamplona in November just hasn’t quite made that final step back onto the rostrom and I would put it down to the higher level of difficulty in these new four Rider Grand finals that are proving the main stumbling block 14 failures and 18 Grand Final sections this season for bov so three fourth places he was on the podium at the too trial indoor International a fortnite ago Target score set by mat graa of 13 marked think has will be eager to beat that and then see what Mar busto and B get up to on their respective runs we have seen Mar fail to qualify out of q1 we have seen Hae buo messed up q1 a couple of times as well so in C hoping to go direct tonight avoid Q2 which is frantic frankly on the evidence of what we’ve seen so far this season highly entertaining Q2 last time out in Barcelona of course between Adam Raga [Music] [Applause] and positioning himself carefully here but even so proves a stumbling block quite literally for him I would say one mark for leaning and one mark for footing there left foot certainly down I suspect he scraped the engine base plate on his way to a stop as well that will put him up against it compared to Mato grat [Music] Rolla and there he is through in section number one he wait the score it is indeed two marked for b b so rounds recovering the remainder of the course the next three sections have all been completed by at least one rer sandre hagger made it through this section two but M grola failed grola cleaned section three Canales and grola making it through Section number four three minutes to go for bua c main step of section two he’s made it up he’s got a lean the bike onto its side and tilt it whilst pivoting with his right foot he presses on two marks worth [Music] off again long section this one section two this is where b c’s speed which is well practiced thanks to the regulations of the trial indoor International under the same promoter of course two and a half minutes [Applause] [Music] that’s going to be one mark for leaning there didn’t land the bike quite where he wanted to the back tire up now he’s got to get the front up as well so successfully all of that covering means he’s got a third Mark so it’s five from two sections good news for b c is that grola failed that one two marks behind where SRE hagger was at the same stage but hagger went on to three fiascos in his final three so an opportunity for being cast to move clear section three only one and a half minutes to go b c does need to pick up the pace [Applause] here as I said prev L making that correction last time out cost him a fair amount of time as [Music] [Applause] well good work on The Descent decision now needed bro just with a look at his watch to if has the advice he’s got time probably to get through this one in the net but again by grass roller before him section five I think will be Beyond his reach wasting no time there wanted to get off that beam as quickly as possible it is a Peril for the Riders isn’t it nrow Landing point there C pressing [Applause] on three to finish section three g a clean through there to matx Mato grola grola scored two Mars in this section four important think tries to do the same only one mark up on grola at the same stage he does get through this one with only two marks he will move ahead of grat Rola but he’s down and that’s bad news for B now it’s a rush to get to section five but he’s not going to have enough time for this one a shake of the head as he realizes that section four result has unraveled this run for bnin C halfhearted effort there on the opening step of section five because he knows he’s going to out sign anyway doesn’t really want to show his hand to the rest of the field but grola moves a place up the seeding order being C furious with himself there failure in section four that could prove a Difference Maker Canal has made it through nicely with two marks that’s turning out to be a really good ride Rola just discussing his run with Section Observer mora not been with a fight Mark score there in section four so grola leads on 13 shaking the hand for b c he sits behind him on 15 then it’s Hager on 18 Canal is 19 and Matt Nelson 22 so Gabriel Mar you can beat M graa 13 Mark score that will be good enough for him to put his place in the grand finals first of your medalists from last year’s xar World Championship Gabriel Mari certainly put in his best performance for the season so far last time out in Barcelona he tied with Tony B on a single Mark each in q1 I say you then won the super pole Award with his teammate making an error and finishing fourth and led the final after section one but he was just too ambitious in section two and it was a crucial failure there he said in a couple of interviews subsequent to that ex-t trial that it had a psychological cost for him was certainly never in the hunt from there and also gave up important points in the championship to rager who took second place by a single Mark no ragger though for marcedes in face tonight his Target will be a place on the podium and to see if he can pull any points back on highe busto the pair have had a couple of good Seasons scrapping in trial GP and the Spanish Championship as well as the ex trial series both years it’s who’s had the upper hand 4 and a half minutes Gabriel marus makes his way through this q1 [Music] course say takes her down of the right foot there still no rer C clean in section [Music] one just want a steady ride I think here enough to confirm his place in the next stage he can afford those odd dabs here and there what he can’t afford a f mark scores still 11 to play with compared to Mato gratella for Gabriel Mar his assistant him was made to work hard last CL out also mining for Tony B in the second half of extra Barcelona the signed to the rapel Honda Tri team the end of 2027 the 25y old down he goes in section two that’s going to leave him to work hard in the remainder three minutes to go for three sections so if he makes with work of section three and four might still have time to tackle section five but that’s something of a surprise there those awkward steps aren’t normally a problem for Mar six marks Rola was on the same at the same stage he and buo Bas were both clean in section three and say he needs to do the [Applause] [Music] [Music] same two and a half minutes now halfway through the course pakis fujinami team boss watching on along with M’s teammate Tony B to the back wheel successful descent receives a round of applause from the crowd say now to make progress onto the beam drop down the other side up the final step time will also be a consideration at this stage should be a banker it’s been cleaned by the last two [Music] Riders that’s a clean for Mar as well six marks with two to go has finished with two failures and a 15 Mark score ratola is the target he made it through three of the five second scored seven in the last two I needs to better that so this next step is very important if he can make it up with one Mark he should be good to transfer direct to the Grand Final [Applause] 15 is [Applause] up he’ll have been given a mark there he has [Applause] indeed this is looking good single Mark in section four would be enough to confirm his place in the Grand Final Gabriel Mar needs to be precise from here I’m sure he’ll have been given his instructions in terms of scoring and strategy and he’s through to the ground f Gabriel M for the third time this season we’ll be in our final four that’s enough opening set of section number five been tricky for several of the Riders so far has gone do you know what we will give this one a go 10 seconds [Music] [Applause] though he’s really going to have to race for it but he’s giving it a good go play to Gabriel Mar the clapman sound and he’s probably three or 4 seconds short he made it nicely out of section number five he finish on a 12 Mark score that though is good enough to beat M grasera by a single Mark and confirms the play in the Grand Final he doesn’t have to go by the lcq which is always a tough ask anything really can happen in that Sprint Round so Mar now will position himself to three Riders who stay on as it were on the Arena floor current provision on qualifiers but the only one who’s certainly safe is Gabriel Mar he’s on 12 grassa 13 Bas 15 Hager 18 Canales 19 nson 22 two Riders still to come this is highe BU winner of the 20125 season opener at Madrid in December hasn’t really been close to repeating that victory since had to make the final via Q2 in shamb had only put in a damage limitation ride with an 11 Mark defeat to Bow there one q1 of super Pol and Clem off their arm but then failed the opening section of the final and a poor night in Barcelona last time out just missed out against an inspired Adam ragger in the lcq but really the damage had been done earlier in q1 competing open meetings in the Spanish Championship too for Hae buo who needs to start rebuilding his 25 tonight 13 marks the target [Music] Score Lane sailing foro thus far no Rider has yet been clean in section one let the first rer home clean in section one he will hope that sets the tone for his night best of anyone through there section two next up been completed by two Riders SRE Hager and buo Bin C look though racing between [Applause] sections knows that this will be the main challenge grola for a five courau Mar for a five this gets through this one well on his way to qualification already he’s up on the back wheel uses his left leg for balance but manages to stay on and stay clean risky a r that perhaps was necessary for buo could have just gone about his business in the same way as Marc before him must be efficient and make it through just so willing to take some risks at times we did see that in Clem off where he was excellent value in the Grand Final pulling back a couple of marks on Tony B it’s not quite enough on that occasion clean in section number two so first Rider clean in section one first Rider clean in section two makes it clean through this next one as grola baz and Mar have already done that will be enough for him to go straight through to a grand final and to take the provisional lead oh [Music] not getting ahead of himself I’m [Music] sure four times Spanish Champion silver medalist in the exra world championship [Music] [Applause] [Music] starting to slow down his run now bow he wants to make sure section three should be good enough for him to confirm his place in the grand final two much for better here and the job will be [Music] [Applause] done RTO is up with one mark for leaning his first drop mark the Run that’s something of a surprise after cleans for grola bazam but it’s enough for higho to confirm his plagues in tonight’s Grand Final so no shots in q1 here thus far still Tony Bo to come of course and busto will be thinking about his position in the seeding order for super pole as he makes his way into section four one Mark so far section four we’ve seen completed by can and gra R up is up with a single Mark needs one for leaning I think again that’s not a great surprise Next Step will you need a mark for leaning there as well I’ll say you didn’t of course he only took one in the two [Music] [Applause] [Music] steps does need a second Mark so it’s two section four 40 seconds to go is there going to be enough for him to get out of this one and have a stab at section five Mar had about 25 seconds then he would have needed 30 so is going to have 30 if he gets about his business quickly here already through to the final taking his time here at the opening of section five I assume he doesn’t feel that he’s got time for this section otherwise he would have attacked it somewhat faster than that already out of Closs boundaries and down to a five so it’s an eight Mark finishing score for H for anti climaxing in section five just didn’t quite have enough time but he’d only scored three marks in the first four sections so comfortably through to the final beats Mar by four marks and more important Le for him grola by five to confirm his play in the finals four the first two Grand finalist decided then now it’s between Mato grola on 1 Mark and Tony V still to come Bo now the oldest rider in the field after the retirement of Adam rager turn Bo showing no signs of relenting on his Rivals this season so far three consecutive wins in the 2025 World Championship his latest in Barcelona by a 13 Mark margin his biggest winning margin since the EXT trial n last March also won the open events in Sheffield and too so rare defeat in Madrid in December currently looking like a blip Bo has taken control of this world championship once again some 23 points clear time the stove is clean in the first two sections remember hoping to match him [Applause] [Music] [Applause] easy enough for b in section one section two next up P mayow the only Rider clean in this one as well next step the main challenge then from there it’s just about time [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] B is up on the back wheel that’s probably the most elegant of the effort on that turn little bit short on the landing because he makes the giant leap to save some time but still good enough to remain clean q1 for Tony B could we see Eno go all the way to section five here in his opening r sections one and two both clean by B next up section three where he can book his place in the Grand Final R roller just one Mark short of Gabriel Mar 13 is the score to beat Bo can afford two marks in this one the way he’s going he’s not going to need them still three minutes on the clock as well with three seconds to go [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] sent obviously a challenge here t b making that successfully now a midair twist to this balance beam no problem for [Music] B two and a half minutes [Music] well up still clean enough to confirm his place in the Grand Final with two rides to spare now just the question of whether he can beat pime bu’s eight Mark score or B’s in trouble that’s been given as a five see I’m not sure about that I think both the question is were both feet off the foot pigs while the bike was moving backwards and I’m not sure that it was still moving backwards at that stage Reno Piaza has given an immediate five to
