England’s biggest informal bike meet happens at Great Bentley with motorcycles gathering on the common land in middle of the village
The local government as custodians of this land are legally liable for claims that may happen on this land
Going forward if events are to continue in the future they will require to be marshalled and managed probably by a group of volunteers.
Let’s hope it all gets sorted out to everyone’s satisfaction.
Personally I think health and safety and the rise of HR is successfully destroying society.
Efficiency and effectiveness is significantly down in Britain and Europe and America
Customer service is more like Anti Customer service
Reduced to tick box exercise where businesses are seen to be compliant but at the expense of efficiency and profit.
We are being lead by donkeys while huge amounts of Tax revenue are wasted on pointless no value tasks

As these informal bike meetings are on council land the council has a legal duty of care for costs in the event of a claim.
To minimise this risk going forward these events need to be marshalled and managed or they will be outlawed
Let's hope it can continue in some form or another
