[Music] but I’m forgetting to the start line um if you want to get to the finish line in one piece please listen in uh when riding as a group particularly with large wheeled uh penny farming bikes we have to apply some common sense some individual um experience and also keep safety in mind uh generally speaking either Ralph or myself will be leading we know the way and we’re going to set the pace okay this is not a race um our aim is to have an enjoyable weekend circumnavigating the island clockwise [Music] okay here we are the penny farthing posy from uh Sussex mostly and various parts of the country we are here in the aisle of white visiting the scout camp called Popswood and um they’ve given us a lovely welcome all these people are here out to see us uh on our circumnavigation of the aisle of white this weekend uh raising awareness and funds for Parkinson’s for Dementia UK and for the Wild Heart Animal Sanctuary where we’re off to uh next very very very [Music] very arrived at the Wild Heart Animal Sanctuary at Sandown we’re about a quarter maybe a fifth of the way of our journey this weekend uh the wild uh animal sanctuary here is really special uh we’ve got all sorts of um weird and wild animals and over the last uh 24 months we’ve been supporting this charity and this organization to rescue two brown bears from Azan and um I believe that their these bears that are chained up and been really badly abused uh for their lives so far are going to have a a wonderful sanctuary here uh in Sandown with this beautiful weather the sea mist air and uh they’ve got a a new sanctuary that’s been built here thanks in part to some of our penny farthing activities in the last uh couple of years and uh we’re delighted to be here for a pit stop on our circumnavigation of the aisle of white [Music] yeah very very very [Music] So finished day one fantastic day uh coming around the aisle of white via Benbridge uh we’re here supporting two fantastic charities an Animal Sanctuary and Dementia UK i’m here with nine other Penny Faring enthusiasts and we are staying in uh the Wellington Hotel in Benton uh it’s a glorious day we’ve got beautiful sea views penny Farings here ready for a last day tomorrow uh to finish our round trip of the [Music] island here we are at the Needles the Penny Farthing Club Posy of Penny Farthing Riders uh we’ve reached over the halfway mark of the Needles on our second navigation of the aisle of white um it’s a bit of a tourist spot but beautiful weather uh fabulous views of the Needles and we’re now um heading back towards Cows for the ferry at Fishborn wish us luck [Music] well guess where we are we are in Portsmouth the end of the road 106 km done circumnavigation of the aisle of white a beautiful weekend 10 penny farthing riders uh all safely uh back uh to Portsmouth and uh making our way shortly uh back home again and thanks for your support uh we raised uh a few quid and uh lots of awareness for two or three great charities the Animal Sanctuary Wild Heart uh Sandown Parkinson’s and Dementia UK uh thank you very much for your support [Music]
