Ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympics, Mina Guli completed the extraordinary feat of running over 800 kilometers along the entire length of the Seine River – a world first! Spanning from the river’s pristine source to where it meets the sea at Le Havre, the #SeineRiverRun is a testament to what we can achieve when we commit to doing hard things – whether it’s running ridiculous distances or cleaning up France’s most iconic river.

[Music] $1.5 billion is a lot to spend on a swimming pool is this really worth the money considering all the other needs in Paris these are the kinds of questions I’ve been asked a lot while running the length of the S and I’ve got to say I often questioned myself considering everything that could go wrong but what I witnessed instead was an incredible outpouring of support for this River the deputy mayor of Paris Pier rabadan told me the very first step of their restoration efforts was to connect people with this Great River and it’s a connection I witnessed firsthand from Marie Jean and Shar the Guardians of the sen who visit the source of the river every day to Vincent and Sarah the passionate kayakers who collect microplastics from its Waters to those who Brave its icy depths weekly to swim with their friends the French people love their River and want to protect and restore it while restoration efforts have been centered around preparations for the 2024 Olympic and Par Olympic Games the benefits of this project will Outlast a single sporting event healthy rivers are not just about swimming pools they are absolutely critical for society economies and ecosystems and they are Central to tackling our nature and climate crises and we must work together to restore them
