I cycled from Stamford, Lincolnshire, to Cromer, a resort on the North Norfolk coast, via Peterborough, March, Wisbech, King’s Lynn, and Wells-next-the-Sea.
I followed the National Cycle Network NCN route 63, route 1 and route 30.
Photography and videography with the Fujifilm X-S10, Sigma 18-50 mm, and Fujinon XC 50-230 mm, and DJI Action 4.

[Music] it’s a May Bank holiday uh Monday i’m just setting off from Stamford um to Kingslin and I want to go further onto Chroma chroma is a popular resort on the North Norolk coast which has been on the map as a tourist destination since Victorian times when the railways made the area more easily accessible a 1930s travel guide book I came across already details a popular route from the East Midlands through Stamford Peterborough and Wis Beach to Kings Linn [Music] i now follow a very similar route using the National Cycle Network route number 63 to Whisp Beach and then number one to Kings Lynn [Music] [Music] [Music] all [Music] right [Music] [Music] now just leaving Peterbar on the road to Whittle Sea this is part of the green wheel i’m cycling along the the river Nin really really nice bit windy few clouds and I think it’s going to rain later so I need to make the most of it last year I cycled to Kings Lin different road uh just using Kumud for navigation and that was fine but um so this year I’m trying to use the National Cycle Network and the SAS Trans maps and they’re really good and so far the road is actually much nicer clearly a lot less traffic [Music] [Music] this is the National Cycling Network route 63 which will see to march It’s all progress but please no traffic [Music] past Peterborough the landscape really changes noticeably this is flat agricultural land the reclaimed marshlands of the fence [Music] heat [Laughter] [Music] heat [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] is it what you want you can feel it i don’t want to leave okay so I’ve just um left Whis Beach um I used the Sustrrons National Cycle Network route one so this is now the this is the route one uh this beach to Kings Lin it’s really well signposted actually and it does make it easier than just um you know navigating with your phone um particularly in places like like Whis Beach or other towns where you need to do lots and lots of turns through residential area weather’s changing a little bit um as expected might rain later particularly tomorrow and tomorrow I’ll be camping so I don’t know why I booked it like that but there you are [Music] heat heat [Music] the porching king’s lin that’s the A47 the great great ooze [Music] i have some time in the evening to explore Kingslin before finding the old rectory guest house [Music] [Applause] [Music] heat up here [Music] one two one two [Applause] after a very civilized breakfast I set off to find the NC route one and follow it through the outskirts of Kings Lin and North Wooden to Castle Rising you can sit through [Music] [Music] Heat heat heat heat [Music] [Music] heat heat [Music] so I’m on the national cycling route uh number one just leaving Sandringham towards Wels next to the sea i think I can see the sea at the horizon [Music] heat so the weather forecast was right uh has now started to rain but it’s not too cold so it’s okay and I’m just on the way to Burnham Market i’m desperate to get some food really really nice [Music] [Music] so rain is a little bit heavier than anticipated or not that heavy but very persistent and I’m quite wet now um not necessarily looking forward to camping later but I hope it will clear up a little bit so um Burnham Market and I think I might do this loop here go down to uh Hulcom Hall uh to the sea where it’s next to sea and then up thank you that’s great otherwise I would have needed to take the paniers off the paniers they’re too too wide see you later right now I’m through Hulcom i couldn’t fit the bike with the paniers through the lock and the guy standing outside just uh having a cigarette and a large glass of red wine i’d like that now just gave me the code open the gates it’s really wet now but maybe you can see kettle critter is filled with water [Music] heat heat [Music] heat heat [Music] [Music] [Music] heat heat [Music] heat [Music] heat [Music] [Music] heat heat right it’s been raining on and off quite heavily even through the night even had some thunder and lightning uh so let’s have a look um where I’ve been so yesterday I cycled from Kings Linn which is here uh via Castle Rising and Sandringham to Burnham Market that’s where the rain really started um it’s got really heavy it got really really wet and then I cycled through um Hulcom Park um that was quite amazing but very wet um cup of tea there and then I took the loop uh hook to Wells loop unfortunately on the gravel path there I did get a puncture that I could just fix enough to get to the campsite at Warham um and the tires flat again so I need to have a look and investigate this morning and hopefully fix that and then I can uh go on to Warham Binham Langham then to Blakey and maybe Clay next the sea uh and the aim today is then to reach Chroma uh in the evening on the road again i managed to fix the tire i’m not sure what the problem was i cleaned it out from the inside there was a lot of grit in there from where I changed it first now my inner tube’s got three patches on i’ve got one p patch left um and I found a really nice breakfast place in Binham Benham Priary where I found Rancheros in the middle of Norolk so that’s really nice so yeah now I I’m on the road and I want to go to Blakey and there’s the sea at the horizon that looks nice [Music] hello [Music] oh [Music] right this is Blakey crabbing obviously very popular very busy so uh I think I’ll move on [Music] yes [Music] heat heat [Music] [Music] so this is this is Clay Beach Pebble Beach it’s massive vast not particularly busy compared to Blakey heat heat [Music] ah so I’ve made it to Chroma um cycling not via the coast but the back way quite hilly woody really nice but um here I am now at the at the sea [Music] [Music] so this is the end of my cycling trip thank you for watching the video so far um I spent another 3 days in Kroma with my family and leave you with 3 minutes of video of photographic impressions of Chroma ending with a nice sunset [Music] i can do it heat up [Music] [Music] here heat heat [Music] heat heat heat heat heat heat [Music] [Music] [Music] heat heat [Music] [Music]
