hey there everybody cyclists skaters runners 
or just people that want their legs to look as good as they deserve thanks for tuning in i’m 
Victor Hell Thorp i am a leg shaving enthusiast and also a professional athlete i’ve been to two 
Olympic games in speed skating and I bike about 15 hours per week so I do like to shave my legs 
and I do really enjoy putting effort into it and making it more than just a thing you got to do i 
think I started about 2 years ago actually caring uh same way I didn’t use any cream for my skin i 
barely use sunscreen unless you know training in the desert of Utah at the time but it’s something 
that I kind of find give me joy and it makes your legs look super nice and if you feel good if you 
look good then you maybe skate or bike a little faster in terms of aerodynamics there are studies 
on it how many watts we save if we shave our legs the big issue here is that up until recently I 
feel like no companies have actually created the right gear for men to shave their legs the hairs 
of a man’s leg they’re very different compared to say how you would shave your face or how women 
would shave therefore I I teamed up with this company called Bold Shave and they simply 
just they do everything you can to optimize this whole experience of shaving your legs and I 
did find that it makes a massive difference so I decided to make this video simply just to share my 
shaving routine with you guys um I have a lot of experience i do shave my legs maybe once twice a 
week in racing season every single weekend because um I like having neat legs you may know me 
i think I gained maybe more than 100,000 followers on Instagram just from these reels 
where I show my training routines and my legs and my legs they do look neat because I’m 
using the bold gear the bold equipment and it’s really a process it’s a five-step process 
um to shave your legs it doesn’t take that much time but it does make them feel good and look 
good afterwards so in this video I’ll just share how I’ve been doing this for the last 
decade and a half of my professional career and uh I would also love for you guys to just 
join the conversation in the comments below you have any cool tips or tricks advice to share 
with the rest of the the Lex shaving community out there in terms of the products I will leave a link 
below the Bold Shaver and the cream it does make a massive difference say I’ve been using Gillette 
which is still not a bad brand but for the legs the Bull does make a massive difference you can 
tell immediately when you take it in your hand it is quality it’s much heavier and you can use the 
blades for so much longer and as you shave your legs you only have to rinse about every four kind 
of stroke now I’ll bring you with me to the shower and we’re just going to go through my routine step 
by step love to you to try this out the Bold they will have some bundles where you can get the whole 
package and it does just make it super nice and uh I I highly legitimately recommend this i’ve 
been using it for quite a while myself and it it’s just works it’s nice and it’s not as expensive 
as I feel like it could be or maybe even should be so I think one of the most important steps 
when shaving is to properly prepare the skin for it that’s a great way to avoid rashes cuz even 
with good razor blades and high quality equipment that can still happen if you don’t have the legs 
prepared for it so the first thing I do here is using a leg scrub after I probably get my my legs 
kind of warmed up and and weted under the water now that’s the first step one thing I really 
like about the leg scrub is the scent of it it is also especially after the long bike 
rides if you go straight home and shower and shave you’re going to notice how much dead skin 
there actually is so just really nice getting rid of that before you actually start shaving and I 
go all the way up you do not want to only shave here it is not pretty especially if you’re 
wearing shorts in the summer you shouldn’t always you know just do it for the bike one so 
no call them hair shorts go all the way up here and at this point you’re ready to use the shaved 
butter i really like to use a a relatively solid amount here this is not where you want to go 
down on it and then just enough that it covers the skin all the way through take it all the way 
to the thigh and just get comfortable with it and now the actual shaving begins so I start 
by wetting it i I like to do this in between say every four strokes and the way I do it is 
that I start all the way down then drive it up and then above the knee so I think my main trick 
here that helps with all the sketchy kind of areas where it’s hard because there’s a lot of folds in 
the skin or it’s not just a straight surface like say the shin here is around the knee therefore 
once I do the full stroker I let it continue over the knee and then later on when I do my thigh I 
start under the knee so basically I get to do the knee twice in every kind of line and that way 
you just make sure that you get all the hairs with you another really cool hack here is it is a 
lot easier shaving when you stretch out the skin so as you can see here when I do it on the front 
of the knee I stretch out that area i stretch out the skin whereas when we go a little further we 
get to the back here i I try and have as I go up a straight leg so that way this area here the 
skin is also straightened out so I’ll just do this sped up a little so you guys don’t have to 
sit and wait and look but basically what I do is that I go full way up here just above the knee 
full way up here just above the knee and I don’t actually push so hard into it i really just let 
the weight of the razor kind of do the work just a gentle little touch here with a finger there’s 
even this like nice little rubber patch here and then take it up there and I do that obviously 
all the way around like I mentioned on the back here I keep it straight so I get everything 
with me every every four strokes I rinse it okay so now we made it up here to 
the quad area the quads the main part you want your calves to be ripped and shiny but 
also definitely to this part to look good that’s as a skater especially it’s all about leg day so 
we want to flash those big guns of ours when we finally build them so here I do it again with 
a gentle little bend here i start just under the knee and then smooth up here just under 
the knee smooth up here make sure to go all the way up there we do have these small little 
fluffy hairs and again you don’t want the hair shorts so pull them up here same as for the 
calves about four stretches and then rinse remember you always want to keep 
the skin tight so when it’s the side here you straighten your 
leg and you do just like that now at that point your leg is basically smooth 
and shaped as you can see here but one thing I think is super nice to keep it lean neat all the 
way through is also to just real quick take no time to do your feet well as well so a little bit 
of shea butter basically don’t need to rinse just get those small hairs off your feet and that’s 
going to look just great and now it’s difference is pretty clear we have a good leg we have a 
bad leg and uh that’s about it for the shaving now after that the part that I think is really 
nice is using the bolt post shave lotion of course when you’ve done this you want to rinse your leg 
that’s part of it but then using this guy here the post shave lotion is super nice i especially 
I live right now in Canada i lived in in Utah’s desert before that it is so easy having dry 
legs there because there’s basically no humidity and this guy can really do wonders so big thumbs 
up just use lotion i use the bold but honestly good lotion will make a massive difference here 
and then a final little thing that I use later on is the recovery balm just to keep the skin 
nice and smooth cuz you know we do actually put some tiny knives in there getting those 
hairs off but the skin and shave lotion here is a final last touch that will make your legs 
not just neat hairless but also really really smooth and and honestly shiny like I’ve used this 
for every single video and yeah I’m not going to pretend like I’m born with shiny legs i get super 
super dry skin especially when I live in these areas and this guy here has just helped me out a

personally when I started it was just a couple of other speed skates a couple years older than me 
we’re just using our mom’s old razor blades and uh doing it with whatever shampoo we had in our 
showers and I realize now that good shaving makes a massive difference when it comes to your
