Today started with a powerful staff gathering where a missionary from Argentina shared about what it really means to follow Jesus. His words hit me hard: many Christians say they follow Jesus, but stay in comfort. Real mission means going where He is not yet known.
Afterwards, I tried (again) to visit the tourism office… success this time! I also biked through the heat to visit the beautiful Mes Bridge — 25 minutes each way in 33°C (91°F). Totally worth it.
The day ended with good food, a €4 burger + cold drink, and some much-needed rest. Tomorrow? Early wake-up and new adventures.

good morning everyone today is nice sunny day it’s still really hot it’s still like 30° out but it’s a bit better it’s a bit better um so this morning we had a time with the staff of the base there was a guy from Argentina who hold like devotional so he talked a little bit about um well not really about mission work but more like about what he think a Christian should do uh when he wants to spread the gospel and that’s not staying in a comfortable place but going out into places where there are people who don’t know Christ yet instead of going to places where it’s comfortable and people know Christ um so yeah it was really interesting his uh views on that right now I’ll be heading into the city i’ll go to the tourist uh point where they plan trips stuff like that see if I can plan a nice trip for tomorrow and Saturday so um I’ll see you on the road i got to brush my teeth first put on some sunscreen because that’s important and then I’ll see you on the road all right last thing to do is grab my insulin right here very important and some emergency snacks we got We got these things i don’t know what it is uh they gave it to me and we got these Milka cookies that melt the second you touch them that’s what she said because of the heat but it’s okay all right I’ve got my emergency package right here so I’m going to put it on and then I’ll be on the road all right we’re on the road again um I actually felt some raindrops which is weird it doesn’t look like it’s going to rain sky is still pretty like It doesn’t look like Oh well we’ll see uh I checked the weather and it doesn’t say it’s supposed to rain so I should be fine and if not then oh well I’m cooling off a little bit but yeah I’m on my way right now [Music] but it’s right there this one all right this where I should be and it’s closed cool all right i’ll text the lady I was in contact with see what when she opens i might not be Muslim but these buildings you got to admit they the architecture is insane on these things i mean look at it look at it um I want to withdraw let’s see any other amount i want like 50 uh how do I do this 50,000 uh confirm wait no no that’s not right um okay wait okay I check it out i thought it was going to ask €500 and I thought it was 50 i’m not sure if I was right or not but I’m going to another ATM that might be better okay I know what I did wrong i put one zero too many all right I’m back at the first ATM let’s see english and then we’ll have 5,000 right here awesome okay I’m going to go back to the house uh grab a bike and then I’ll take a bike to the bridge i think I think that’s what I’m going to do all right see you later [Music] so I just had lunch uh right now I’m heading towards the agency again the travel agency see if they’re open right now and as a Dutch person I’m riding a bike which is so much easier and so much faster i don’t know why the guy just honked at me i don’t even know if he honked at me but yeah this so much better all right see you in a bit okay so I just was at the agency uh I booked the trip for tomorrow morning but I’m booking the trip for Saturday online because everything it was really clear so I’m going to book that right now but tomorrow I’m going to a big river and a huge lake it’s It says really pretty so but I have to be here at like 6:30 so I’m going to go to bed early tonight all right so I just booked the uh activity for Saturday i’m super excited for that one that one sounds it sounds so amazing i can show you some pictures of what of where I’m going it’s a place called T with like there’s like a waterfall beautiful town beautiful just scenery so I’m really excited for that one right now way towards the bridge is like 7 kilometers so I think it’s like a 40minute bike ride which is a lot because it’s pretty free but you know at least I’ll be tired when I get back and so I can go to bed early and the only reason I’m going to the bridge actually is to buy like a like a soccer jersey or a football jersey i’m trying to say football again i’ve been Americanized with my time in America yeah I’m trying to find a football jersey the set of quality over there was better than the one in the city so that’s why I’m going over there right now but yeah it’ll be a long it’ll be a long ride so uh yeah I’ll see you guys when I’m there again all right see you [Music] all right guys we are here back at the bridge oh I’m so happy I made it oh you probably can’t tell but I’m so happy oh my gosh that sounds horrible i’m so happy I made it it’s so hot okay I’m here look at this bro it’s so cool guys don’t you think it’s amazing that you know I’m able to be here but if you look at this you know when God created heaven earth the mountains he said that it was good and now he also created us and he didn’t just say that we were good he said that when he created us it was very good and that’s just knowing doing that is just so cool that God thinks are even more beautiful than this view right here not only that he wants us to um to enjoy every second of this but also take care of it you know so I’m really thankful to be here just take it all in it’s so cool it’s so amazing i’m so thankful all right guys so the reason I went back here to the bridge like I said it wasn’t just the bridge although the view is amazing i’m on the terrace at the small store right now you can still see the amazing view i’m so blessed but it was also to get this thing look at that it’s the uh Albanian national team jersey i think it’s the away jersey but it’s so cheap it was only €20 which is really cheap for a jersey last week I was in Spain i bought a jersey for like €60 so this so much cheaper and I got a cold refreshing drink so right now I’m just going to chill enjoy the view and then I’ll head back to the house [Music] all [Music] right my cool drink’s finished time to go back to the city uh it’s going to be a long drive a hot drive again so I’ll meet you guys there all right so long look at this look at this view imagine driving your bike every day looking like this that’s insane i think some hills coming up though with me so I’m going to be fine but let’s just be able to do this oh my gosh okay um it’s kind of loud in here i know i said uh I was done for the day but I had to get dinner so I went back to the same place as yesterday their food is so good look at It’s a burger with egg and a beer and it was It wasn’t even €4 it was €3.90 look at this it’s insane look at Look at it this place is amazing well this burger it’s so good there’s rice on the burger there’s egg there’s like different vegetables obviously there’s meat on the burger it’s so good it’s like It’s one of the best burgers I’ve ever had and the bread is insane this place is so good for how cheap it is it’s actually insane i’m so happy i’ll give this food like I think I’ll give this burger like an 8 out of 10 it’s almost perfect and then the price 10 out of 10 it’s This food’s amazing it really is i’m so happy here and then I have beer i don’t know it’s kind of the same as any other beer so I’ll give it like a I give it like a five out of 10 but it was only €16 so that makes up for it it’s cool i’m happy here all right I’m back at the house did some shopping for tomorrow got some Coke Zero some normal Coke and some Oreos just in case my blood sugar get low um yeah that’s it for today
