We are planning to cycle the following route within the next few weeks. We are starting in Bologna and then heading to Florence/Siena down to Lago di Bolsena and then crossing over to Spoleto. From there we are planning to follow the Apennine bike route passing by L'Aquila and down to Campania, where we will then travel to the Mediterenean and then finish in Naples.
Does anybody have some suggestions for amazing places to stay on the way? What are the streets like through the national parks? What about wild camping in these parts? Did anybody recently do this tour and maybe can offer some advice?
Thankful for any feedback and suggestions. Looking forward to cycling in Italy.
