got the new Wahoo Bolt version 3 here’s what’s new should you upgrade should you not let’s break it down so let’s unbox it see what’s inside of the computer here’s the stem mount here’s the front mount this didn’t come in the package last time so now it’s already uh in the bolt tree then we have the USBC cable pretty much it then we have the instructions and yeah that’s it so the B computer it’s a little bit bigger so uh it’s a little bit longer let me go get my computer so here is the comparison between the Bolt version two and the Bolt version three it’s a really It’s a small difference but the screen with the new one it’s a little bit better so the colors are better with the Bolt version three you see the difference in the size so it is a little bit longer uh it’s a little bit heavier um all in all the here the buttons a little bit thicker they stand out a little bit from the screen with the old one they didn’t so I guess it would be when it’s winter time it will be easier to fill the buttons so that’s that makes it a little bit better uh other than that uh there’s no big difference so the mount is the same so it fits everything that you already have on the bike if you have something special a special bike mount it will fit perfectly on the old one as well so what are the some key features that I think a lot of you guys will will like first of all battery life with the old one you had 15 hours with the new one it should have 20 hours it’s got a better screen which is better when the sun hits the computer it will be easier to see everything so it shouldn’t be it shouldn’t have that much glare as with the Bolt version two and the display is 0.1 in bigger and also one of the let’s say one of the better uh features new features is uh it’s got dual band GPS so especially in the mountains if you’re a mountain biker or if you go on some roads that aren’t as close to the city or somewhere that the GPS isn’t as good so the old one with this one it should get a better connection so everybody that’s like me who doesn’t ride with the speed sensor a lot of the times you’ll see that your speed just drops off and then quickly picks back up after I don’t know 50 100 m that’s because the GPS signal isn’t that good so they fixed that with this computer so that’s a really strong positive point one minus point with the Bolt version three is that it’s a little bit heavier it’s 16 grams heavier than the Bolt version two for who is this by computer for and should you upgrade it if you already have the Bolt version 2 all of the key features all of the key functions that the Bolt version 2 has I’m not going to upgrade because the color the battery life maybe the GPS if I would be a complete data geek I would upgrade it to the version three but I’m not version two works just fine to be honest if I had the version one I would stick to that i don’t see a reason to upgrade it to the version three but everybody that’s yeah exploring that uh I don’t know uses the maps function which I don’t really use I think the version three is a good choice is a better choice than the version two so because of the a little bit bigger screen uh better colors also some functions for maps are there I would upgrade it if I would be exploring a lot if I would be riding outside of yeah of my country or stuff like that then yeah the version three is a little bit better and if you go on a really long rides so that 5 hours more of battery life yeah it’s it’s better if you want to upgrade to the bullet version free we have them in stock ready to ship go to proofcycling.com yeah and buy yourself a new computer this is pretty much it for this video if you if I missed something there’s probably some functions and everything uh you can go you can ask us or just write us an email uh or just ask in the comments below and I will research it for you and I will find it and yeah answer it for you guys so until next time let’s
