and then we got 50 mil Schwabble G1 RS Pros The also fast gravel tire for people that can’t fit a 21 but honestly I think these are going to be within a millimeter of the 21 I love all of these tires Like these are all excellent choices Makes really freaking good tires So like the G1s I think are going to end up being the best option for a lot of bikes just because they can’t fit these tires If you really want to be on the bleeding edge like we said you kind of have to buy that bike um able or a Mog or Well I don’t think the Mog can fit these 225s Yeah I don’t know if it’s ne

  1. For fast tires, I'll always look at Panaracer. Panaracer actually dares to produce the fastest tires, even if that means that the sidewalls will be a bit more fragile. And Panaracer actually offers a properly wide range of sizes, including 650b/27.5 and 26" (they even have a good 27" and 650a option still). A lot of "boutique" brands (like René Herse and Ultradynamico) also use Panaracer's manufacturing. The GravelKing range is ok, but René Herse and Ultradynamico give you the super fast rolling options for gravel that most brands don't dare to produce.

Schwalbe is what a bike shop or bike brand will put on, because they have to expect that the bike will be used mostly as a commuter, and they have to expect that the rider doesn't even know how to fix a flat.

  2. It really sounds like gravel bike manufacturers need to give way more tyre clearance. It really just needs to be a MTB hardtail with dropbar geometry.

  3. Helloo,
Questionn: I chose an sworks world cup 2023 as a gravel bike, what do you think about it? I already have a ultra light high end climbing bike, so a carbon frame gravel bike sounds very limiting, a little rain and wheels stop turning… if I spend 10k I need the equipment to be on my side.
Am I going to feel slow?

  4. I run Schwalbe CX PRO 32mn tires on most gravel never a problem. I used to think line choice was a drawback but 32 or 57s I’m still avoiding rocks so I prefer tarmac speed and less weight.

  5. Let me just say this….when my road bikes needed a bunch of work to get them squared away….i rode my 2001 Specialized Stumpjumper Pro hardtail…front fork w/lockout…and 1.75 in Kenda slicks….kept up with the majority of roadies in Prospect Park….but I should be treated as a annoyance at best ….just like anyone on 50mm road tires ….you’re riding a hybrid…and I won’t be seen adjacent to you…and get off my wheel
