Zwischen sanften Hügeln, imposanten Alpenpanoramen, echten Genussorten und charmanten Einkehrmöglichkeiten erkunden wir eine Teiletappe, die sich perfekt für eine E-Bike Tour, sportliche Fahrradtour oder gemütliche Radreise eignet.

Wir starten in Nesselwang, fahren durch den Genussort Wertach, stärken uns auf der Alpe Sorg I, überqueren die Grenze ins traumhafte Tannheimer Tal und kehren schließlich im Sudhaus der Maria Hilfer Brauerei in Eisenberg ein. Dabei teile ich meine persönlichen Radrunde Allgäu Erfahrungen, gebe Tipps zur richtigen Bike-Wahl und stelle dir mit Naturbiken eine spannende Alternative für Gravel- und E-MTB-Fans vor.

This cycle tour is considered to be one of the most beautiful in southern Germany and today we are allowed to take you on a partial stage of the Algu cycle route. How you can plan the whole thing for yourself, whether you are sporty or relaxed, which beautiful spots can be found and also which delicious places to stop for a break, we will not explain anything in this video, as well as [music] that was really great and with these recordings you are very welcome again, I am very much looking forward to cycling with you again in the Allgäu, exactly three months ago I was here on this very road with Basti when he rode the Deutschlandcross, I accompanied the last stage, the video and project is also very exciting, I will link you to the very end, but today we also have an exciting tour ahead of us, the Allgul cycle route. We are taking you on a partial stage of this 475 km long cycle tour, which has also been awarded by the ADFC, I have linked all the stages below in the description. Of course you can also plan your own individual tours, whether you are highly sporty, completing the cycle route in two days or doing small circular tours, that is what we did, we started this morning in Eisenberg, now here in Nesselwangen we are driving over Wertach through the Tanheimer valley and hopefully stop at a restaurant at the end you’ll see it all and for me it’s also one of the last bike tours here in Germany before the big trip and I think regions like the Alguise in particular are just short you can experience beautiful bike tours and also be out and about in mountain scenery and that’s what we’ll do today too blue skies and where we want to go once again the absolute rain catastrophe we hope we don’t get completely wet up ahead is the Gründen the guardian of the Algus you can see very clearly with the antenna on top and there the rain is in it let’s see how it goes come along and Linus with us a little breather here at the Gründensee great atmosphere in the morning up ahead you can see two anglers with their boat on the lake surrounded by mountains especially in this direction where we can see the Gründen from Eisenberg we have now done 20 km and are about to drive to a special place Werttag one of seven gourmet locations in the Allgäu there you can have the first coffee of the day I’m really looking forward to it but for now let’s enjoy it here [Music] now we arrive in Werttag and here enjoyment is the focus good bakery delicious coffees and above all the topic of cheese because here the Weißlacker is the focus this cheese was invented here I haven’t tried it yet you are welcome to describe your experiences in the comments below and here we are also at Weißlackerplatz exactly in this house I think at least this cheese was invented and there is still a dairy and a cheese vending machine where you can buy and I don’t just want to recommend this shop but there are numerous other dairies farm shops butchers you are really welcome to write your experiences in the comments below and if you are interested in the topic of Allguer cheese then I would like to recommend a podcast episode from the Allguy Podcast I have heard in the last few days an exciting founders story from Lisa and Philip who founded Heumart listen to the whole thing and now we are going to do a quick shop here on the café and then we will start pedaling again we want to quickly head towards Tanheimertal come with me thank you very much tip tasty thank you ciao there is the good piece a little refreshment and here in this place take a look at the on with the church postcard it doesn’t get more idyllic than this bye welcome to Austria but only for a short time uiuii 20% wow that’s really a huge hit heck let’s go gravel roads a really nice section that we are currently riding with the interplay of sun and shady wooded areas and also the change between asphalt and gravel that quickly raises the question of the right bike for the bike tour we are on gravel today it works really well tracking bikes too E-bikes E-mountain bikes are of course good for this tour it is very moderate to ride and you can see it mainly on marked wider cycle paths if you want to immerse yourself a bit more in nature then I recommend the nature biking tours here in Alligu they go a bit further into the woods on forest roads not necessarily on trails but still with more elevation gain and perhaps better for mountain biking I have also linked these in the description below for us we are now about halfway through the tour and we stop off at a delicious alpine pasture so off we go on to the next place of enjoyment [Music] intermediate goal reached alpine pasture 1 and an absolute recommendation for a stop we are now looking for ourselves here in the square and just like the cow over there we are enjoying the atmosphere ah look here [Music] cheersinus well deserved and now here is a big cheese place so today is cheese day I would say looks good put it in and then we start off to the highest point of the tour 1100 m it is windy quite a bit headwind will be but stronger for now take a look at this it is so beautiful out in the middle of the mountains [Music] now we are just picking up the speed and currently I’m testing something for you, namely magnetic pedals. You can see here not the classic click system but magnetic ones. I’m excited. There will be a video in the next few weeks. If you have any experiences with this, please leave a comment. We’ve now left Tannhim behind us and it’s uphill, a very moderate climb up a few meters and then we arrive at the highest point of today’s stage and this point marks the highest point for us today. Enjoy the scenery once again before we head downhill. We ‘ll now coast to an easy start and then pedal again to Eisenberg and have a drink. Take a look. [Music] That was a really nice section, you saw it. Along the river, it’s technical but also a bit more demanding on gravel with a few stones that have to be skilfully avoided, so slow down a bit if you’re not feeling so confident. Apart from that, we’re back in the middle of nature again. [Music] Black clouds behind us and we’re heading towards blue skies. Linus in front. and you can already see the first drops of rain and it starts off straight away what timing we’ve arrived there is the show the small brewery and we’ll come in first and then draw the conclusions to the tour and now it’s really starting to pour here Linus well deserved very well fortified and this marks the end of our tour today which raises the question for whom is the Algu cycle route worthwhile we didn’t do the whole thing but only a section of it but we can say one thing on the one hand it’s a very well signposted cycle path which means you don’t have to worry about the route and can just follow the signs which is often very pleasant and the second point is it’s moderate to ride not on racing bikes I wouldn’t recommend that but gravel bikes tracking bikes, all of that is really recommended and it’s a beautiful long-distance cycle route which is above all just for enjoyment you’ll have noticed so many places to stop for a break in the video and that’s a clear recommendation for everyone and now I say thank you very much to Linus behind the scenes, linking the video of Basti from the Deutschlandcross up here and by the way, Linus and I have also just tried the Weißlacker that is the Zuhe package, we have already nibbled the other one a very intense, strong soft cheese so also a recommendation I wish you a good time, a nice day and thank you for tuning in, another video of me right here skiing in the Algu Oberstorf Kleinweisertal until then, ciao
