Join me, Leon Forster-Hulst, as I prepare to tackle the ultimate one-day cycling challenge: the Coast to Coast (C2C) from Whitehaven to Tynemouth on August 8th! This isn’t just about the physical test; it’s about raising vital funds for CHUF (Children’s Heart Unit Fund), a charity incredibly close to my family’s heart.

In this video, I share my personal story and why I’m taking on this epic 230km, 3000m elevation ride. My second son spent 2 crucial weeks under the care of the Children’s Heart Unit at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle, and we owe them immense gratitude. CHUF supports this incredible unit, providing life-saving equipment, family support, and so much more.
I’ll take you through my training journey, what to expect on the legendary C2C route, and the mental and physical preparation required for a solo one-day attempt. Learn about the challenging terrain, my strategy for managing fatigue, and the specific areas of the North of England I’ll be cycling through.
