What was meant to be a peaceful, scenic ride through the beautiful New Forest took an unexpected turn when we had an altercation with a driver. 🚲🌲

In this video, I take you along for a day filled with stunning roads, quiet lanes, and classic British countryside β€” and share how we kept our cool when tensions flared. From wildlife encounters to winding climbs, it’s a reminder that even the bumpiest rides can still be brilliant.

off on the gravel bike today somewhere completely different somewhere I’ve never ridden before so join me and when he gets to Harry for the ride and here he is i don’t know we’ll get we’ll get UCI points can anyone guess where we are so if you didn’t work out with the clues or you’re not following me on social media we went to the New Forest this is the route we had planned over late we’re starting just outside of Ringwood in a lovely little car park off the A31 heading south and then working our way around to Brockenhurst Lindhurst north and then back down towards Ringwood and the car park 75k 673 m of elevation let’s show you how we got up [Music] heat heat heat heat [Music] heat heat heat [Music] heat [Music] heat [Music] heat whoa [Music] behind heat heat [Music] [Music] completely the wrong gear if we need to do that bailout option we’ll do the bail out uh probably about 50 it takes off basically to go up out of Lindhurst north then instead of going further north just after it we turn down go to Berley everything was going swimmingly for now we just had a lovely lunch at the Wood Cycler in Lindhurst thank you Dan Lloyd for the recommendation magnificent food and we were heading off north after Lynhurst ready to tackle some climbs ready to tackle probably the hardest gravel climb of the day on the descent unfortunately something went wrong as I said it was captured eventful but break first thing that happened was I had a little accident with a car won’t go into any more details but I’m okay the bike was okay and the car was okay after we found out everything was okay with the bike and myself and I exchanged details with the car driver we headed towards Arches Down Punisher a 980 m long climb at 3.8% and this was a case of just getting up it pacing the effort not trying to push too hard because one didn’t know what gradient even though it was on the Garmin they can be a little bit misleading so the K is 2 minutes 8 seconds mine was 4 minutes 39 but I know I could go quicker the next time we go following the climb we decided to make our way straight back to the car as quickly as possible combination of the incident taking up a lot of time enjoying lunch and also Harry’s legs not feeling 100% following a cold we decided to take the bailout option that I’d plotted before we went and just head straight back to the car as I said eventful but great on the way on our bailout route to the car not a million miles away to the car we encountered this guy who well let’s just say if we saw him again we may not have been around to tell this wonderful tale so here we have it folks the final statistics of the day and what a fantastic day it was it was one of my best days one of my favorite days on the bike thank you for joining us for the ride thank you for Harry for driving us there and then helping us on see you next time
