Doing a little quick overnighter down to the state park on the New York Pennsylvania border. I wanted to try a lighter setup and see how it works. Honestly I think I could have fit everything in that front Metro bag but I wanted to distribute the weight a bit. I dropped down to the little solo six Moon tent, swapped out the big heavy Primus stove for a little spirit burner, swapped the sleeping bag for a quilt and blew some money on a thermal rest NeoPad. Because I’m using the flat pedals I can skip camp shoes but I brought some down booties just for hanging out and giving my tootsies a break. Not supposed to be all that cold maybe high 40s low 50s so just bringing a couple extra little wool items and a hat.

I have a garage full of much more suitable bikes but I get such a chuckle out of using this Brompton for something It was probably never designed for.

Mine is a pretty stock six-speeder I think it’s called the explorer model, I added the Brooks saddle so I can eventually transition out of padded shorts. I added a second collar on the seat post to stop it from slipping, a quad lock for the phone and hopefully soon the postman will come with some ergon grips. Tires are those marathon ones which seem decent though I wish they were a bit fatter.
