key time trial today in the criterium dopane before the weekend mountain stages this would set the hierarchy in GC as between a Nepal Paga and Vinger Garden could Floren Lipitz and Romeo keep their GC gaps it’s not a technical TT it’s got about three corners in it but a very steep sixminute hill in the middle the time checks were after the hill though so it’s tricky to know who did the climb the fastest headwind at the start and then at the flat finish so good for Remco cavana the best of the early starters from the nonGC contenders and you can see it was rolling but not very technical they were 83ks an hour down that descent getting in the skis and he did just under 22 minutes paul Seas remember this name he’s a first U23 he’s the junior time trial world champion last year in on a flat course in Zurich for the juniors and he’s a GC rider massive performance only 5 seconds slower than Cavana sheffield I think reverse pedled like Renco did before Worlds last year and dropped his chain which wasn’t a good start for the TT uh but his American compatriate just went a bit after him matteo Jorgensson who’s been going for some bonus seconds in the previous stages for Vizmissa bike and he puts a pretty significant margin into Cavana’s time 12 seconds but there’s a hard hill in this cavana is not the best climber he’s better on the flats so how good is Jorgensson’s time really it was good 2128 48 and a half kilometers an hour much quicker than Cavanaia in the last section and we see the three big guns how exciting has it been to have them in this race vingard and Remco getting ready to go the TT world champ making sure the bike is all good before he sets off could he take Quickstep’s 1,000th victory in their organization’s history and just look at Ramco’s position it’s it’s a work of art i mean when I saw that there was headwind for the first time I mean Remill was going to win this TT anyway but with headwind and him being this arrow nobody’s beating him on this course he would have to lose so much time on the climb he did a pretty good climb you see him getting back into the extensions here on the moderate gradients when trons not in the extensions and then climbs obviously normally on the steeper sections and then on the bad road service but not technical descent into the intermediate time check we see a done a monster time 30 seconds quicker than Jorgensson so maybe Jorgensson’s time wasn’t that good and Cavana’s time wasn’t that good uh but Renco actually just set the standard he caught like four minute and 38 seconds quicker than Jongson at the finish but where could Vingard stand in this TT the hill suits him of course but he got smoked by Pagatcha and Remco in similar TTs last year and could he stay close to them could he keep any losses within a margin of 15 to 20 seconds to say Pagatcha so that he can still fight in the mountains on the weekend you see him in a big gear on these steep sections 15 kph it means it must be like a 15% pinch and then you see how rolling it is so I think with the hot conditions a very tricky TT to pace vingard was he more tentative than Pagatcha on this fast descent section we’ll compare uh Pagatcha was really launching it there but Vingard was only 11 seconds behind Aanapool at the intermediate check although it is faster to the finish could he hold that gap the gap did go out a little bit more he loses 20 seconds to Aanapool he’ll take that it’s probably what he expected more or less but Baga he’s been unbeatable pretty much this season except from Vanderpool in the classics and in these sort of time trials he’s been so good in previous years uh with a short hill and then flatter sections as well he did get beaten in the comt but that had a longer sort of medium mountain finish and Pagachi got good support on the climb but the curious thing was about 8 and 1/2 minutes into this time trial he was taking a drink of water or or from his bid on so it’s not a long TT 20 minutes 21 minutes and they’re doing it fresh and hydrated so a bit strange to see that and then on the descent this is to the intermediate time check i think either Pagache was pushing it more than the others or he just hit the bumps at a different angle to the others cuz he nearly he had a few wobbles there on the descent but here he hits this grid this manhole cover and nearly bucks his bike completely and he has to then recheck that his chain is still on come out of the extensions get back in so he had a few mishaps there but he was 30 seconds down on Remco and 20 seconds down on Vingard at T1 which was a huge surprise to everybody sort of couldn’t believe what they were seeing jorgensson was really surprised he was in the hot seat so Pagacha not only not winning this TT not and losing time to Remco he’s losing big time loses 28 seconds to Vingard and 48 seconds in a 21 minute 17k TT to Remco Even who at that point knew he had it pretty much sewn up vanderpool did a really really good time trial he only lost a minute to Ramco he probably doesn’t train the discipline that much to do a TT that good he’s clearly in great shape romeo we didn’t see too many images of the yellow jersey he lost the yellow jersey ramco’s TT was just too good and Romeo wasn’t able to go quick enough on the climbing section so he still is in a good GC position romeo I mean he’s 8 seconds behind Remco in GC now he’s looking really good for a top 10 livitz we also didn’t see too much of he looks clearly like a top five rider in this race and if not better we haven’t had the mountains yet he finishes within a minute of Renco and Eddie Dumbar this is the maybe second most surprising result of the day he finishes sixth in this TT ramco and Quickstep have the thousand victories merch ready to go and he wins another big time trial taking time on Vingar Jorgensson Pagach Livitz Vanderpool Cavana Dumbar Foss and Paul Sichan out the top 10 here’s what Ramad had to say after the race yeah my goal was to go uh as fast as possible till the intermediate uh and then after that just try to get a steady pace till the finish line uh think that the advant advantage I had is that it was a lot of headwind in the valleys uh before and after the climb so uh I use that to to uh yeah to really take a benefit of my position and uh and of my uh yeah of the the power that I can do in my position and then the climb I just went as fast as possible um and yeah I think we had a perfect pacing strategy so uh in the end like I said uh yesterday already I just wanted to win and then uh after that we were going to see how it was going to be in terms of GC and all that stuff so I think uh very happy with this victory uh number 1,000 as the cap says of the of the team so uh very proud to uh to have done it i think it’s uh uh one for Patrick for the whole uh past and uh everything that he did for the team i think this victory is uh is one for him and uh yeah for uh all of his career we had a perfect plan of the the pacing strategy and uh then like I said I was going to see after the finish uh in the end it’s quite a big gap uh on quite a short TT as well so I think uh I’m very happy to to have put over 1 second a kilometer on everybody uh and for some more than two so uh yeah I’m just super proud and happy with the feeling I have now um I’m feeling uh pretty good and uh it’s always nice to to bring home a world to victory in terms of GC a very interesting top 10 we’ve got Reno now in the Mayo Jean we’ve got the riders from yesterday Libitz Romeo and Dumbar who got in the breakaway still up there on GC and we’ve got Pagatcha in eighth behind Vingard and only a second ahead of his teammate Matteo Jorgensson so the mountains Pagatcha has to attack if he wants to win this doof same goes for Vizmaisa bike the weekend set up perfectly hope you enjoyed the video and I’ll see you with the recap tomorrow

Are Jorgensons crank really short? Pretty small cirkels with his feet
was vingegaard on the smalls chain ring in the descend?
Imagine if MvdP liked time trialing and actually trained on a TT bike.
Watching from the UK.
ITV lost the TdF coverage this year, meaning there's no free coverage of Tour de France on UK TV.
It's still a very popular sport though, so I expect your channel is going to pick up a lot of extra watchers this summer.
The way I used to do it was sometimes watch the live stage on ITV, then every evening watch the 45 minute highlights on ITV, then if I was feeling lazy, or if it was a boring flat stage or whatever I'd watch Lanterne Rouge.
I guess this year it'll be Lanterne Rouge every day instead.
JONAS 2025 TDF WINNER.
What a monster van der Poel is!
Pogacar isnt trying to win Dauphine. He is here to size up the competition for the tour.He said after stage one that taking the victory was a big win win for the WHOLE race.Listen to the interviews more carefully people.
Boring because poggy didn’t dominate everyone
Pog needs a different PED mix for TT, aparrently.
Remco did a great climb. He has the KOM on this climb now and gave 5 seconds to Pog only in this section.
No drugs here😢😮😅
Might have been a headwind, something a slightly taller rider might have encountered that somebody more low and aero would have less of an issue with?
Is Del Toro riding?
There is a bigger gap between Pogs head and hands than Remco and Jonas
3:34 Vingegaard, a true professional, gets out of aero position before reaching the finish so he can stop his Strava recording right on the line.
MVDP in a Rudy TT helmet vs an ABUS sponsor correct helmet?
I never took a water bottle for a 10 or 25 mile TT 🤷♂️🤔
You’ve got to pretend taking drugs doesn’t keep you at the top all the time 😂
Jonas with the Toad costume
Pogacar's wheels look SICK at full speed. So many cool ̶ ̶s̶p̶a̶c̶e̶s̶h̶i̶p̶s̶ bikes out there

Interesting to see that Remco and Jonas seem to ride lower seat height than Tadej and therefore have a bit lower more aero position and also less hip rocking.
Vingegaard’s position on the TT bike also looks so aero!😮
Maybe the UCI's ban on Carbon Dioxide Re-Breathing – OR in Pogacar's case Carbon Dioxide inhaleing is catching up with him!!
38 seconds is nothing for Pog in the mountains.
Really great work, thank you!
How can remco see infront of him in that position?
they experimented on bigger gears but
pogi wasn't use to it bc it needs more wattage.
Lol those helmets are getting ridiculous 😀
All this and it turns out the one with the more aerodynamic helmet was fastest
Today we can see where is who? One and only and the rest..
Vingagaarda you need BIGGER helmet, this is the smallest one 😁 😂
Keep expecting to see Dark Helmet from Spaceballs to do a TT
Pogacar and UAE..dumb like foxes ! (some won't get that )
omg these tt helmets are really getting hilarious 😂
just in time for spaceballs two
Suckers?
Il est sur le jus.
Helmets getting weirder year on year!
Where’s the “disbelief?”
All the people commenting are a bunch of suck ups. This is the golden era of doping, meanwhile you all cheering like idiots.
Why they only ride so short distances? I wouldnt even ride my roadbike for these few km
Remco is an amazing TT guy and a monster on one days, but I'm still confused why anyone considers him a "big gun" for the GC. He has not shown that he is anywhere near that. Even Sepp Kuss blew his doors off in a GC. I may be wrong, but I don't get the hype. I know he has won one, but so have Kuss and Hindley.
