Here’s my 1994 Stumpjumper, which I bought last month from the original owner. He used it for daily commuting and some light touring across various countries. It’s crazy to think how much life this bike has already seen—and now it’s getting a new chapter.
This build is a bit of a restomod: keeping the classic vintage frame but upgrading everything else with modern, reliable parts that suit how I ride. I went through a few iterations—front rack and basket, fenders, even a BMX stem—but this is my final setup. I removed the fenders and front rack mostly to make it easier to carry up three flights of stairs to my girlfriend’s place. The bars are 850mm wide, which is a little cumbersome, so I might trim them down soon.
Built mostly for mixed-surface riding and the occasional overnight trip. It’s not period-correct, but it rides exactly how I want.
