onto the eighth and final stage of the criterium dofane tade pagatcha has dominated this 77th edition and could even reach the milestone of 100 career victories if he takes the honors today however the Slovenian may be happy to simply defend his yellow and blue jersey yonas Vingard trails by a minute and while he hasn’t been able to match Pagata in the mountains this week the Dane still feels that he’s on the right track for the tour to France i mean of course it would be uh nice to uh to take the over overall victory here uh so I mean yeah the race is not finished and we just have to do everything we can uh yesterday was very good uh but I do still think that I can get better so uh I can’t put a number on it but I’m pretty sure I I can get better florian Lipovitz has been one of the revelations of this Dofane which he’s on course to finish in third place overall the 24year-old German is then set to get his first taste of the tour no doubt riding in support of Primos Ragglitch i think uh I’m happy with uh how the position is right now uh yeah we have to see uh how the others will ride today and uh yeah but I’m happy if we can go to the finish like this and finish off the this race well i think I showed I can race good in one weeks and yeah so uh we will see then on the next run to how it goes well this was also Roman’s last day as a professional bike rider the man who won four Tour to France stages memorably taking yellow on the opening day last year was given a touching sendoff by his fellow riders it’s really heartwarming even if the Pelatin is always getting younger I’ve always felt at home with the guys and they have pushed me to always keep improving to stay competitive until my very last race day it’s got harder and harder but I leave with absolutely no sense of bitterness i feel very happy to have been part of this pelin well stage eight isn’t as tough as yesterday but there are still 3 and a half thousand m of climbing the final hike up the Cam Mossini will certainly sting the legs it’s 9.6K at 6.9% before a 5 km plateau to the finish line if there’s no GC action this could be one for the breakaway well 11 riders got into that breakaway and they built a maximum lead of 4 minutes before the Pelatin started to reel them back in matthew Vanderpool was up there looking to take back the green jersey from Pagatcha and he picked up a maximum hall of 10 points at the intermediate sprints the issue for the breakaway was the presence of Enrich Mass who began the day 10th overall no sweat for Pagatcha but a bit too close for some of the other riders in the top 10 he had the support of a teammate in Ivan Romeo and there were lots of strong climbers in the group sept Cus Valentan Paripantra Ben Healey Lenny Martinez Maxim Van Hills and Alexi Lutenko with Mass at the front Mobility began chasing to defend Tobas Johannes’s fifth place overall the Norwegians keeping the gap at under 3 minutes vanderpool had actually pushed on solo after the intermediate sprint the Dutchman leading his fellow escapees by 45 seconds the break approaching the fourth of the day six climbs the coat to Sant Andre vanderpool was still plugging away nicely and he reached the summit 50 seconds clear bruno Armaray then pounced to take the remaining points the Frenchman becoming the virtual leader of the points classification ahead of Pagatcha for me a bit of rain starting to fall which meant taking extra care on the descents whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa well Vanderpool just about keeping it on two wheels the former world champion leading them into the final part of the stage next up was the Code USA 6.3 km at 6.2% vanderpool once again first over the top with Armarion second the French time trial champion would win the mountains classification as long as Pagacha Buittrago or Higittita didn’t take maximum points on the final climb well the breakaway still believed in their chances and Mass put Romeo to work on the run into the cold demons the Spanish ruler emptying the tank for his leader that enabled the chasers to catch Vanderpool with just over 16 km to go romeo still hammering on the pedals and he would come to an absolute standstill once they hit the climb itself vanderpool also sitting up and they were soon caught by the pelatin now led by UAE only six left at the front van Hills Paripanch Healey Mass Ken Martinez and it was Mass who launched an incisive attack after all that work from Romeo martinez was the only man who could follow the Spaniards well Uno X then suddenly upping the tempo again in the GC group which caught a few riders out oh and a crash in the group as they go uphill sixth placed Paul Sexas was among those to hit the deck and it wouldn’t be easy to close the gap again especially with Johannes making his move a few minutes later it was Remco Evanapul who attacked with Vingagar and Pagacha on the wheel florian Lipovitz not able to follow and now an attack from Martinez big move by the Frenchman lenny Martinez with a stinging attack at the front leaving Mass in his dust and there was then more action in the GC group before the summit with Vingagar attacking but Pagatcha was right on the wheel and Wengerard decides it’s time to go attack of Yonas Wengerard and Paga matches at this point everybody in the breakaway had been caught except Martinez who still had 45 seconds over the top two the 21-year-old would have to dig deep for his third win of the season after successes at Parinise and the Tour to Rameni the Frenchman maintaining his lead though at the summits there were still 5 km to cover across this plateau but Pagatcha and Vingagar weren’t chasing too hard and Martinez would be able to celebrate another impressive victory he joined the breakaway today absolute elation for this rider the 21-year-old from can in France from a family of cyclist he takes his third world tour victory of this season Lenny Martinez elation for the Frenchman as he takes the final stage well this hasn’t necessarily been the week Lenny Martinez was hoping for in terms of GC but the Bahrain victorious man finished it on a high note with his ninth career win all three of his victories this season have come at World Tour stage races and he was the only French stage winner this week it’s good to get a stage win but I came here for GC in the end things didn’t go very well overall but with the team we managed to save the week in these last few days martinez winning by 34 seconds on the final day from Vingar and Pagatcha with Jorgensson and Evanool leading in the rest sexas dropped just over 2 minutes after his crash coming in 13th and the week belonged to Pagatcha the fans are here uh only only positives this week a lot a lot of positives um and all the negatives will turn into positives so all good yeah victory number 99 for Pagatcha whose final winning margin was 59 seconds over Vagar no change in the top five today but Jorgensson and Mass both moved up with Sexas slipping to eighth pagata also finished with the green jersey he and Vanderpool both took 10 points on the final day but the Slovenian won it by virtue of his three stage wins bruno Armaride did enough to snatch the polka dot jersey though the Frenchman finishing three clear of Pagatcha after picking up 17 on this final stage and Lipovitz rounded out his impressive week by finishing as the best young rider ahead of Evanool and Sexus we wish Bardai all the best for his retirement and we look forward to seeing these guys at the tour to France when it kicks off on July the 5th join us then and thanks for watching

A brutal and incredible Tour of France is comming 🤩🤩
No spoiler in the thumbnail, please.
@ 4:05 Van der Poel’s reaction time is unbelievable! 😮
Jonas just doesn't have it this year for Visma, they need to take Simon Yates as their GC man at Le Tour.
@ 9:24 Why is Martinez not on the White Jersey leaderboard?
Edit:
I think I figured it out: Lenny Martinez is at +36 minutes, and they might only show riders who are at most +30 minutes behind the classification leader.
Educated guess: It would look odd to display riders who are too far behind. Domestiques or sprinters don’t focus on GC, so this might be a common occurrence.
poggy reminds me of armstrong so much its sickening…
Be strong. Jonas 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
Tadej with his doped bike will win TDF 2025 Nobody can beat this duo: Pogacar + an electric motor hidden in his bike. Why bother watching it?
Pogi qui rafle le maillot vert sans même l'avoir cherché… du grand art. 🎉
I said it last year I will say it again, Jonas was rushed to perform at 2024 TDF. He is now paying for it. I actually feel bad for the guy. Definitely the sports director has to be fired. Remember the guy that used to say Tadej is F. That guy!!! He clearly doesn’t understand how cycling without EPO works. Visma must fire him. I mean how embarrassing; his team got beat by Tadej at everything. Yesterday he got so board racing his team that he was performing domestic duties. Than after his whole team was f, Tadej decided to do some interval training on the last 10 km.
I call for Visma to fire their director for being an idiot.
The way Roglic typically goes in grand tours, Lipowitz may be team leader in the 3rd week….
Buenas noches, me podrían decir el nombre de la melodía que suena en el minuto 3:24 por favor.
I feel sorry for Remco, Quickstep can't provide him a decent team to compete.
Now I know who excels at a one-week race and three-week races. Jonas is peaking at just the right moment throughout the TDF. I say 'game' because he played according to teamwork. Visma is the best team in the Dauphiné, especially in the Tour de France.
Feliz por ver Jonas em boa forma.
Le train de la hype Paul Seixas est en marche
Tremendous send off for Bardet. Respect to that man, he is a great rider.
Happy retirement Romain Bardet and thanks for all the memories!
Muchísimas felicidades a TADEI sieeemmmpre sorprendes eres un gigante de la historia en su conjunto
