I've not seen any of the new GC on here but got mine today and love it so far on my very brief ride around the block. The colour is much more metallic/ pearlescent in person.
My previous MTB was from 2010 so this was a huge leap forward for me and a bit of a learning process to set up but think I've got there. Basics like trying to work out how to remove the rear wheel axle took far longer than I would have expected! It's also my first 29er so feels quite different to my previous bikes.
Not done too much with it so far but have set up Muc-Off tubeless which was easy enough, a couple of bottle cages and a one-up EDC pump. Next steps are to ride it for a bit then see what I need to change in terms of contact points. I might also get a lightweight tube as a spare since the butyl one takes up most of my bottle cage tool storage.
I'm getting too old for the Gnarly stuff so the main use for this will be for family rides and the odd bit of easy single-track. I may even dabble in some bike packing in time but the GC seems capable of all of this so looking forward to it!
