I recently posted here for help identifying this bike. Thanks to all who helped narrow it down!

I’m pretty dang lucky, my mom and her partner are bike NUTS. I mean they have 2-3 garage like rooms at their house that are simply devoted to bicycles. Bikes lining the walls. Even rows. All kinds. Road bikes, fat bikes, cruisers, old bikes, new bikes. Really you name it, they probably have one somewhere.

I took my tired Peugeot over because there was a list of issues that had discouraged me about the bike. Some of which included a broken spoke in the rear tire that threw the trueness way out of tune. And some sticky icky icky brake cables causing some dangerous situations.

They really showed me how it’s done honestly. After debating which way to go with it for a while, we all got to work. We got some suntour 700c tires that fit the bike nicely. Degreased and scrubbed the chain along with most the crank components. Took apart and inspected/cleaned the derailleur and its jockey wheels. Later on I threw some new brake cables on.

We discovered the jockey wheels are in a sad state. One of them mangled pretty bad and another only having only a single tooth left!😂

With 10 tooth wheels and a wider thread, we didn’t have much of an option but to order the ones needed and see how well the current jockeys last for the time being.

After a several mile test ride into town to get tacos and then to a nearby park to eat them and ride back home, I’m already so satisfied with this bike.

It’s a very smooth ride, even with the derelict jockey wheels hanging on for dear life. Im very excited for those to come in the mail. They were kind enough to order me some handlebar wrap as well.

Here’s a pick of how she looks, prettied up and back from the dead. 🤙
