hello! I posted this bike a couple weeks ago, and I’ve now got it completed to my liking. it’s a 60s Gios Torino, that I believe is a Pela build. Main components such as brakes, derailleur, hubs, rims, headset, stem etc are period correct. The crankset a few years off, it’s from the 70s. Take note of the cinelli stem, 1st model made of steel (yes, it’s fairly heavy).
I have a few other vintage Italian racing bikes, I plan to go a little different with this one. Usually I try and get the bike as light and fast as possible. With this one I’m going to go the commuter route. I have some fenders coming, carradice barley bag, may look into a rack, and use it as my to and from work bike. I currently use a backpack loaded with things. I’d like to set this up to carry what I need, maybe be able to go to the store etc. Having said that, ill probably post it yet again once that’s complete. Good day to all!!!!
