This bike was stolen from my building back in November.
Last week, I was running some errands in my car and saw someone standing on the sidewalk holding my bike.
I parked, went up to him and let him know it was my bike. I showed him some proof, gave him a little money and got it back!
I don’t really think the guy who had it was the one who stole it, but he had to know it was hot since he bought it from some rando on the street for like $20.
It looked like it had seen some shit since I last saw it. Someone swapped the wheels (hence the QR up front) and threw a freewheel on it. Bar tape was gone, that’s up next. New scrapes and some small dents, but “tools not jewels”, eh?
