Hi all, I’m restoring my grandfathers 1953 Rudge 3 speed. It has these long brakes for 26ers with fenders, but they have an mtb cable end at the lever and a road end at the brake that slots into the caliper. I’m wondering how to replace these- Raleigh used to sell the cables and housings as a whole set but no longer.

Could I use a knarp at the lever end? I’d have to get one of matching diameter and I’m not sure where to find those. I won’t trust a dropper knarp. I can’t solder so don’t start there. I’ve also heard of sunlight bulldog brakes, bmx brakes, and I might order them but I’m worried they won’t clear the fenders. Any tips?
