I biked out to a pine forest for some camping. It was an amazing spot with a beautiful view overlooking a lake, surrounded by dense pine trees.

The place was pretty remote – no bathrooms, definitely no showers, and no convenience stores or restaurants within 10km. I had to prepare for some inconvenience. So I packed MREs (no dishes to wash!) and brought along a portable pee bottle and large wet wipes for washing up.

This trip I brought my hammock along. It was so peaceful with nobody else around, and lying in the hammock just zoning out – it doesn't get much better than that.

I totally forgot to bring tent stakes, so I ended up using the bike cargo straps tied to rocks to secure my tent. For an improvised solution, it looked surprisingly legit – almost like it was designed to be used that way.

As always, I took my time and enjoyed every moment of this trip.
