Weirdly enough I went from Like a Dragon to Infinite Wealth to this game and I honestly am loving it! I was never into like FF7 because I didn’t grow up with it.

Which is why i dont consider it turn based. Look, i love the game. Absolutely. Its my game of the year. But, its not turn based. Im a turn based rpg lover. This game doesnt hit those notes for me. Its too active.
Still 10/10 tho.
This game is easily one of the best games I’ve played in 6 to 7 years it’s campaign is unlike anything anyone has seen in a game it blows baldurs gate out the park I hope it wins game of the year cause it deserves it.

this game is very turn based, and feels like a turn based game – and thats what we like and why we like it. Not sure what he's talking about to be honest.. and there's nothing "souls-like" about this game really. If you die you just respawn before the fight with no punishment at all for example.

Apperently the voice cast alone is a good reason to play this game.
Man. The game looks very pretty, and the music is so good that i added a couple to my d&d playlists. And the dialogue I've seen is well written, the lines incredibly well acted. But the gameplay doesn't look fun to me. I know it is to many others, and my friends keep telling me how fun it is but the pitch "Turn based soulslike, or Dark souls and Final Fantasy" sucks any thought of joy this game might bring. And it feels like im hating on it, its the opposite, i want to get the hype but i dont.
I've been playing this game and i'm just addicted to it. it's so good. the combat is super fun and the enemies always keep you on your toes, and all the different enemies that exist are just so damn cool. and the endgame content… mannnnn i'm having a blast.
I think I'm going to pirate this, but I feel kind of guilty because I want to support the people who made it. I just can't buy it.
Honestly a huge fan of turn based rpg’s. Persona serious, shin megami tensi, metaphor refantazio an Digimon stories cyber sleuth being some of my favorite games to play.
Picking up this game has been a massive joy I’m only 30% into the game an I’ve enjoyed it greatly. Definitely worth the 50$
If Expedition 33 doesnt win Game of the Year then gaming is dead.

I loved FVII. I played in high school when my english was good enough to read stuff (not a book) but I really couldn't have conversation (Latin American).
I was expecting do much about FFVII REBIRTH and out felt like crap. I hated the real time fight.
This game feels like the original FFVII BUT ALSO SO MODERN AND ACTIVE. I play fighting games and TFT so it is like a mix of my favourite games.
I haven't played a proper RPG in 20 years and this one feels great.
I'm glad he described it like that. I don't like having my patience tested in games, so dark souls games are not my jam. I will still watch it played, though.
