These have been in my parents basement for 40+ years, so not much rust. Looking to use them as an around-town bike as my little kid starts to ride. The cable from one of the shifters at the handlebar is loose and of course the tires are flat. Is this something a regular bike shop can fix up? I don’t think they are worth anything so just want to make them rideable. Are there recommended maintenance routines other than chain maintenance going forward to keep them from rusting? Thanks!
