It clearly states "For Ø160 or Ø180 for 160/180 mount" on the adapter. I currently have a 160mm disc brake fitted and would like to upgrade to a 180mm.
Can anyone tell me whether the adapter will support 180mm? I can't imagine how the adapter supposedly should support 180mm…
I found this compatibility chart (see second image) and "Y8N230000" points me to a 140mm -> 160mm adapter (which doesn't make any sense to me).

I’m not sure about this exact adaptor but I had one that did indeed fit 180mm & 160mm. I think it was a post mount deore 615 brake
Edit.Sorry I just saw yours is flat mount.
Nope, you’re fork is designed for 140mm (adapter flipped the other way in the ‘neutral’ position). This adapter adds 20mm to make it 160mm in the current configuration.
Some forks are stock 160mm instead, so this adapter would allow for a 180mm rotor (as it effectively moves the caliper out by 20mm).
I interprete this that this adaper can be flipped and is for a 140/160mm fork mount with a 140 or 160mm rotor OR a 160/180mm fork mount with a 160 or 180mm disc.
You have a 140/160mm fork mount and a 160mm disc. You can flip the adapter and use a 140mm disc but you can NOT use a 180mm rotor.
With your flat mount system its not meant to go from a 140/160mm fork mount to a 180mm dic…

Yes it’s freaking ovepriced, but they are the only company machining one.
With a 160>180 adaptor in between the fork mount & that piece… then yes – easier just to but the correct single-piece adaptor
