I will start by saying that I am 5'2". So 46cm with 650c tires will fit me, and it's hard to find something quality and vintage in my size.
The lugs, the cable routing, and the name on the top of the chainstay matches a King of Mercia frame from their 1970s catalogue. However, the paint does not seem to match. There's no striping, and no contrasting paint scheme. Not to mention there's some kind of metalwork going on around the bottom bracket that seems to be missing from the frame in the catalogue.
I think it's a Reynolds 531 sticker from the 70s, but half of it is missing.
They're asking 500 for the frame. I see others asking for quite a bit more than that on eBay. Is this a decent deal? Would it be especially challenging to build up from this frame?
