Stripped a 2021 Kink Switch frame that I grabbed on marketplace right before I got hurt (will divulge shortly) wire wheeled it and clear coated with KBS Diamond Clear.
I’m satisfied till I can grab my new Fit Miller Lite frame 😝 you’ll understand why below
So little backstory and injury scoop, I’m a aging rider at 40, rode heavily in my mid 20’s (right around 08-11 was everyday all day). I sold my old 09’ Dak and most all the parts eventually except my rear wheel (gsport ratchet hub 10t laced to a Primo 7 series rim). That stuck around and two years ago I pulled it out and got on marketplace and found a free bike… a Eastern Nitrous Battery 🤣 slapped the wheel on this f*cking pile and was shitting around here and there over the last two years.
Well here’s the injury, rewind two and a half weeks ago and I’m riding this slog of a bike at a park ripping and having a blast. Hit a couple feebles down the ledges, until I missed my front tire, hit fork (no front peg, missing adapter washer 🤦♂️) no biggie except that popped off this time and I otb and came down directly on my shoulder separating my AC joint (again). Currently two and a half weeks post injury and cannot wait to get my *ss back out there 🫡
Instead of using any of the absolute trash I was on (besides the wheel) I went ahead and ordered ever single thing I needed for a new build up outside the frame and a custom front wheel (went with a prebuilt because I want to do a set of gsport roloway’s laced to alienation beetlejuice 2.2’s with ti spokes 🙄
Anyways will post final build in the next couple weeks as well as include the build list 💪 hope to stick around for a bit longer in this lifestyle and on this sub.
