Join me for a short but stunning 4-minute off-road ride along the breath-taking south coast of Gozo, Malta. We kick things off by climbing over dry, rocky terrain near Torri Mġarr ix-Xini — a 17th-century watchtower once armed by the Knights of St. John.
The trail winds through fields where fresh hay has just been harvested, and soon we reach the coast. The terrain is golden brown this time of year, contrasting beautifully with the deep blue Mediterranean Sea to our left and the vibrant, cloudless skies above.
As we cycle past splashes of purple from blooming Maltese Star-Thistle, we approach the majestic is-Sanap Cliffs — the highest point in Gozo. The rugged off-road terrain and panoramic sea views make this one of the most visually rewarding rides on the island.

A bit of easy/hard here….but all with great background views: the south coast west of Mgarr ix-xini doesn't look too bad…I might even think about it..🤔…..but then we get into Charlie territory as you start getting further into the Is-Sanap Cliff portion of the ride…..those cliffs are indeed stunning…..excellent!
