[Music] JB. Good morning everyone. Welcome back out for a short one today. Bank holiday weekend. Thank you to everyone that watched and left messages very kind. I’m out today because I had a message from Barber 21. Good morning, Barber 21. Thank you for the message asking me if I’ve done the the big ride. It’s a 10 mile loop. Ran Beaston canal ran the canal text in a bit of trend and I thought to myself, I’m sure I’ve done it. But it’s only a 10 mileer. So I thought I’ll uh go and have a look. And he specifically asked me to as well look under Tren Bridge and look for the years engraved in the wall of the of the floods and how high it was. So we’ll have a look for it. Right. Speak to you soon. I got me to tour to France socks on today. The red polka [Music] dots. Here comes the rain. Let’s go have some fun in the [Music] rain. Another thing as well. I had another message from a viewer. He’s brought an on- one free ranger and he says, “When I do the review, will he find my experience as good as his from riding the Free Ranger?” When I went in, when I brought the Free Ranger, I didn’t want to go deep into into the pockets to buy an expensive gravel bike. I just wanted one that would do everything basically, road, off-road, and I tell you, the bike’s been everything I expected and more. But I will do a review of it on what I like and I dislike. But like I said last week on the video, the many dislikes. So that review to come and re my safety features on the bike because in this day and age we have to look out for everybody pedestrians, cars, vans, lries. So I’ll show you what I have on. I have a Garmin on the back camera. I’ll give you a review on that. I have a cyclic camera on the front. I’ll give you a review on that. I I’ll do one big review on what my thoughts are as [Music] well. I think I’ll do that review whenever we have a wet day. [Music] So, wow. To say it’s end of May, nearly end of May, beginning of June. That wind’s [Music] biting. Knee’s not too bad. I just don’t want to push it. Don’t want to lame myself up. [Music] There’s one thing about morning riding. It’s just you yourself and the world, the odd car, the odd jogger and the odd dog walker. And besides, it’s Sunday. End of the Premier League today. So, might want to catch Forest. See if they can clinch that European Champions League place. I’m not bothered if they do. We’re in Europe. Season we didn’t expect beating all the big teams. FA Cup semi-final. European football as a forest phone for over 40 odd years. [Music] That’s mint. Absolutely incredible. But we’re going past the city ground today. Quick look from across the Trent. It’ be a lovely morning if if it just went for this [Music] wind. Morning. Dog walker beat in the rain. I think I think we’ll come AC across a lot of them [Music] today. And another review I want to do is Garmin or Wahoo. I’m still undecided which head unit. I’ve got the bolt. This the old version, version one. And I’ve got the Garmin Edge [Music] Explore. And I’m looking at a new room. Ring me bell. I don’t Which one? Woo. I must admit I am a Wigan. I’ve got this kicker call. I’ve got the Wahoo watch headset. [Applause] [Music] But I don’t [Music] know. I’ll give it we’ll have a review. It’ll only be a short video. Gin or [Music] Wahoo. But then again, cycling technology, you can spend a fortune. Absolute fortune. Best lights, best radar, cameras. But we’ll have a debate. Well, not a debate. We’ll just see what people [Music] prefer cuz I’ve got a radar on the back. I would never ride without it to be honest. I tell you what, it’s lovely this morning. [Music] on my way on to the big track. Just thought I point out down there used to be the Nottingham Canal. I never realized that was a canal. [Music] I’ve rode past this hundreds of times and I never realized till it was pointed out to me that there used this used to be the canal that used to go all the way into Woolin and beyond possibly to I do believe not sure but amazing another hidden gem right off to the big people off to work. Have a great [Music] day. When I were growing up, people working on the Sunday was only shopkeepers selling news of the world and Sunday people. And as soon as I told them the shot, our times have changed. [Music] I know this bit gets used. People commuting to work to the factory units to my right. But what we’re going on in a minute. Bit controversial. I’ll show you. [Music] This is the start of the castle boulevard cycle lane. Do we really need it this big? God knows. I’m all for cycle safety. Keeps people safe. It’s worth it. We’ll go halfway down that. Then we do the big track as you can see down there. Big cycle lane up and down at most stage. and uh very few people on it. I think I’ve been at these traffic lights for about a good 2 minutes unless they pick me up one big enough to be picked up. What we have here is Castle Boulevard canal where we’re going. That’s part of the big track and Castle Boulevard. Bit controversial this one. This road people say we didn’t need it that big. Some people said we didn’t need it at all. It’s for safety. I’m 50/50. Right, let’s go on the big track. Spotting the rain. I think we’re going to get around. Who cares? Big track. We’ll start here around do the 10 mile loop and we’ll come back out and we’ll go the way we came. Right, let’s go. Here we go. Start and finish. [Music] I mean the state of this path sometimes thinks you’re riding the cobbles on the [Music] rub. So uneven but [Music] great. Nice apartments on the left looking over the canal. Here we go. Dog walkers. First one of the day. Really? Ignorant prick. You know sometimes I think they want you to knock them out or knock them over. [Music] Trend navigation gets packed in the summer. People sitting outside. Watch your [Music] head. Dude courts to my [Music] right. Nice [Music] mural. [Music] Here we are the canal assass and in the belly is a canal boat in the actual pub at the bottom. So if you’re ever in Nottingham you want something different canal ass bar and you can sit down have your dinner and look at an arrow boat in there. Yeah, you can just see the lights in the distance lit up. When on dark mornings when you come, it looks it looks m cuz you can see it through through the doors right down there. Here we go. As you can see by the footage, the wind’s getting up. We got rain coming in. And so we can beat it. Abandoned bikes on this part. This is behind the train station. Lot of antisocial behavior, tense, lot of [Music] homelessness. Looks apartments to the [Music] left. Oh, here we go. This one looks angry. Will JB make it past this goose without incident? Will it complete the big loop? Tune in next week to find out. [Music]
