Hello guys. Oops. It’s mountain day again cuz I’m just cycling by myself and I don’t want to worry about bikes when you go on cafes or pit stops later on. So for peace of mind, I have this Brmpton setup as if it’s a road bike, no mud guards, and then my computer and phone and drink here. [Music] [Applause] Brighton today. I just want a bit of elevation. Over the weekend, we did uh sorry hills. Very good hills. Shout out pala Leonardo Morris, Rorenza Mores, Jason Carlos, and Ah, sir. Ronnie uh tag Asher. Shout out to you guys. Nice to meet you. Hello. Hello. This is Queensgate here in Westminster where Imperial College is located. Hello. Imperial yan one short bridge short bridge one less car no traffic we’re out of strata now so next will be greens most of the time heading towards the south hope the weather is Good. This is the first climb here at London to Brighton Carlton area. It’s gradient is not that high but it’s constant probably around 3 3%. West Street Lane, Honeywood Walk, and then we will turn right. Pound Street is the constant climb Carlton. This is the second long climb and the gradient is probably around 5% 4%. It’s uh beside Lavender Farm here in Mayfield. After this long ascent, it’s downhill time and then one long downhill, then another uphill again. Chipstead downhill. Going to chip. Woohoo. Yeah. downhill. Woohoo. I cannot see with my shades. There’s holes. Turning right to another crime. Climb, climb, climb. The secret to longevity in endurance ride is make eating a routine. probably do uh every 30 minutes eat probably 45 g of carbs and you will last as long as you don’t forget these hills 7% it goes up to 9% sense, but it will be fun on London to Brighton ride by British Heart Foundation. Loads of people will cycle. Some will still uh walk with their bikes on climbs. It doesn’t matter. As you finish the course, that’s even better. This is a donation anyways. Charity 12 speed is good. I’m using number two of the stormy archer and number one of the cassette highest cog which is I think 21 chip. Nice posh area. Yeah. And then they also have a golf course golf course here. It’s really peaceful and quiet to ride during weekdays. Ah, the reason why I’m doing this is just because riding a Brmpton is probably one/ird harder than using a Brmpton h a road bike cuz it has 16in wheels plus probably around three 2 kg or 3 kg heavier than a usual road bike. So, that’s a plus for training. Other than that, it’s convenience cuz uh you can just bring this inside the shops if in case you would like to have a coffee and less worry of theft and damages in case you lock it somewhere on the rocks and stuff. So, Brmpton is my option if I ride alone. This is the next climb. a slowly slow gradient but long. I will let you know the road later on. For long rides, I always use splits just in case for long downhills and you uh encounter a bump and your foot or feet will not bounce and lose control. So I advise clits always on long rides especially on hilly hilly uh route but in America route in hilly route in England route in America sometimes peaceful area like this you will encounter encounter rabbits deers crossing the road downhill. Woohoo! Oh yeah. And then turn left. Boxing. Boo. Turning left. Boo. and turn right. Yeah, this one another climb. It’s the church street long 4 to 8% and when it reaches 10% to the max on top and that that’s I think 9% 53 km now. So probably another 7 km we will reach the half point which is Turner’s Hill. That’s another big hill. This will be one of the venues here for the British Heart Foundation. They offer barbecues, grill burgers, and stuff. Yeah, this one, the dog and duck. So, watch out for this. Our 50 kilometers done. Another 50 to go. Woohoo! Near Gotwick Gondano. You’re in the countryside. This is what you see at the back roads of the main roads. The other roads to choose from. Cycling friendly. Few miles left. Turner’s hill. We’re now 55 km. Oh, and ah this is a also one big climb in the British Heart Foundation’s London Divide 9% for now. Turner’s Hill. This is also a big stop here for food. After a quick rest, let’s move on. We’re here at Wakers now. There will be another stop here after Turner’s Hill. Yeah, here north gate way first the other stop in this area town of Aringly. See kids coming out. I don’t know. I think it’s a good school over there. I finish Hardingly area. We’re near Turner’s Hill soon. Princess Royal Hayward’s Heath. Yeah, Hayward’s Heath. We’ll stop that Hayward H. Apparently 69.77 km. We’re here at Hayward’s Heat now. Few more and then ditching. We built field and then ditching next. That’s 72 km. Few more kilometers left before ditching beacon. Field Dling. Woohoo. Dto. There’s a stop here as well. And uh another pit stop. Let’s buy something here at Morrison before we attack beaching bacon. This is good about Brmptons. You can fold it while you’re still uh going inside. Oh my god. Yeah, it’s already 1:49 and um started around 10:15. I’m here at Wevil Still. Oh no. Near ditching line. I’m just uh harbor loading before I attack people. Harbor loading is done. Ready to go. Final leg. The headwind. Woo. our southdowns. That’s Ditchling Beacon. We’re now in a village of Ditchling. Very quiet and really nice village. English village hills. We’ve done 88 m of elevation here at Ditchling. Dling ditchling [Music] beacon. I will tell you on my review later on cuz this one normally I just join a Brmpton ride heading to Ditchling and Brighton but I didn’t push myself. But this time I tried to push myself as much as I can without uh with a less elapse time to determine my fitness level. It seems that my energy is depleting now at 80 km. So, I’m a bit struggling now and that’s why I had a pit stop at Wiblesfield to just uh do a bit of carb loading. But now I’m here. So, few more miles of pain. Gradual ascent to the ditchling beacon 2% ditching. It’s 222 now. [Music] Woo! Woohoo! This is my weight performance on ditchling. Dare me. 6 a.m. Oh, dear me. Conquered. Oh, little double strike. 5 and a half miles. Tough. Hill climbing is tough, especially if you’re cramming with training. Let’s move on. Six more miles to go. uh equivalent to probably 10 km. We don’t know. Let’s see. See that? It’s Brighton and Hog now. Brighton and Hog. Woohoo. Woo. Love it. Now very near after this hill. It’s all downhill. Cycle path and pedestrian path sharing in this lovely lane. Woo! Love it. Last leg of the downhill Brighton. Woohoo. [Music] Finally Brighton at last 4 hours moving time. H 4 hours moving time finally. Let’s check the elapse time. 5 hours. What time is it? Oh yeah, finally. That’s nice. Well done. 4 hours moving time. Well, my verdict is it’s fast. Well, my verdict with this feline, it’s fast on flats. It can manage to do 35 km per hour easy. The issue is whenever you’re climbing the extra 3 kg is a bit painful plus my weight. So, I think uh more advantageous is having a road bike on climbs, but it’s still all right cuz it’s a training. Anything hard or difficult, you will uh have benefit from it later on. And I’m here right now. So, thank you. And now it’s eating time. Obligatory food, fish and chips in front of the sea Brighton Beach. Yeah. So, I did a light London to Brighton using my Pline 12 speed. On flat terrain, there’s no issue whatsoever. But on climbs, I’m a bit struggling especially on uh those ascents which are like 10% to 13 15%. I can feel the the the weight and the responsiveness of the gearing. It’s a bit uh difficult, but it can climb. It can climb. good langu extra effort. The the wheels are 16 in compared to a road bike. So probably around three times pedaling is one time pedaling of a road bike. It’s all right. It’s training. So whatever fruits I will get here from here, I will uh enjoy it later. So for now, load of food, welld deserved. Shout out pala to all those who subscribe. Thank you very much for your support. I didn’t even realize that there are loads of Filipino cyclist here in the UK. cuz when we started it 15 years ago with El Supra El President Dennis were very few. Now loads the influx of the Filipino migration due to opportunities here in the UK uh went up and at least probably because uh after co there are lots of cyclist afterwards just shout out and definitely I’ll approach you. Shout out pala South United. 50. 50 is the new number. 50 is the new Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music]

  1. Well done Emeng😅. I agree with the fish and chips. I grew up in Madeira but don’t recognise any Portuguese dishes in that menu. You cycled through my sister-in-law’s stomping ground. I looked in vein for her. Keep training and getting stronger 🚲
