I start my journey at the back of Parc Tawe by the River. I explore around the river and venture to Morfa, Llansamlet and finally Clydach. Trying to find my way from Llansamlet to Clydach seemed to be a bit of a challenge! With broken signs, faded signs, or just no signs!

So yes, in Swansea by the river here. Just parked the car in the uh multi-story over there and uh come on to do a bit of exploring. My plan now is to go up to is it still Liberty Stadium? So I’m going to try and find my way up there in a minute and uh we’ll generally see where we go from there. Just to just see if this path goes anywhere first. So, I’m going to do that and then we’re going to come back probably and go over the bridge. There’s a cat on the wall. A cat on the wall. He’s showing me his paw. There’s a cat on the wall. They seem to have stuck this fence and well, you can’t get through. So anyway, I just wanted to see if this went anywhere and it doesn’t, which is pretty much what Google Maps said. But I couldn’t believe that the path just ended like that. [Music] It’s lovely there’s a river here though, right? Okay. So, we’re going to go over that bridge over there and uh there should be a cycle path around the other side of the river. It is definitely a bit chilly. I doubt the wind temp the Yeah. Yeah, with the air temperature warmed up a bit cuz I should have put a thicker top on if I’m honest. But it’s been so warm the last few days. I may warm up yet. So, let’s see. According to a sign back there, we’re on route um 43. Must admit I didn’t take much notice on the map last night. So, uh but at least I know which route I’m on. It’s a bit chilly. So I’ve just come from the Swansea direction and we’re going to carry on. Just over three miles. Trek Peter Ribble Scott can specialize Canyon Bman. So don’t hide. What do you ride? Put the chain on and change the gears. Let’s get going as the sky. I know where I want to go. That’s I think across that road. This could be easier said than done. This is very much a sort of ride [Music] discovery. The Only real place I had in mind was the stadium and then after that it was like well we just ride about. You can get around quite quickly. Um, most of the psychopaths around here are [Music] flat. lane to jump [Music] on to the [Music] CR and change What is this here then? Is this a psychopath? No, I don’t know what it is. There’s a lot of uh to have a little look around and see what I can [Music] find. It’s not out the sun. It is cold. I think I remember. I think we’ve been here again. Right. Let’s get a bit of a look at the map and see exactly where we are. Aha. Right. Finally, some signs. Tada. Ha. Here we go. This is what we’ve been looking for. Some people do look at you as if you’re evil. It’s like it’s a cycle path. What do you expect to see on it? I know there’s walkers on it, too. But quickly over here. Right. So, we’re just going to be dumped off somewhere again without any explanation of which way we’re supposed to go again. It does look that way, doesn’t it? And there’s a path I believe here. This literally says PLA this way. So, we follow this part. I think we are joining a path over here. I presume this is where we go now because there’s nothing that tells me that we don’t go this way. There’s nothing that tells me that we do. And then you have a split without any signs to tell you which way you’re going to go. It’s quite amazing, isn’t it? Which way am I meant to go from here? Then prime example of uh cycling infrastructure though. You have to guess where you got to go. Now this looks like the signs were possibly on this post and somebody’s ripped them off. Probably some cycling hating decided, “Nope, we’re going to tell cyclist where to go. We’re just going to rip them off. makes me despair sometimes. It’s like what harm am I doing cycling? You know, what is the issue? Anyway, we’re going to try I think I got to go. If you’ve come down here, you come across the post with no signs on and I’m going to take a left. I need a little bit of a drink. Lion and brownie bar. Another sign this way I believe. [Music] Lovely. Enterprise Park. Can just make out the sign that says clutter. I don’t know where to go again. This way. Is it? Where is this tacos? Swansea Morest and Clad that way. So, we got to go this way to CL. [Music] It’s I know we’re on the right way cuz I know we go underneath this big road up above now. So, What’s done? Oh yeah. [Music] Oh, other path seems to take you on a roundabout way to get to Cladak. I don’t quite know where we are. But it is warming up though, so I’m feeling a little bit warmer now. So that’s something. So we’ll carry on on this adventure a little bit longer, but I think we’re not far now. So we should hopefully get to Cladak shortly and then uh we can turn around and try and find our way back to Swansea Center. which I expect is going to be just as much fun as trying to find the way out of Swansea. Amazing river view here. Look at this. This is quite an interesting bridge, isn’t it? Very high up as well. High above the river below. I think we might well be in Cladak, but I’m going to double check the map and see if we’ve actually reached the destination. I can confirm though we are in Cla. So we have reached the end destination. So we’ve reached Cladak. I’m going to uh turn around. I think at this stage we’ll turn around, head back over there to the uh to the canal and where there’s a river and uh start heading back [Music] [Music] shortly. Thank you for watching.
