Hello everyone,
I’m looking to purchase a new, sporty bike and unfortunately can’t decide which one to go for. This will be my only bike, so it should be very versatile and able to handle various situations. However, I plan to primarily ride on the road with just a bit of off-road on forest paths (90/10).
My initial thought was to get the Canyon Endurace AL 7 with disc brakes. It offers excellent value for the price, is perfect for road riding, and can even support tires up to 35mm in size. At €1500, I believe it’s a good deal.
However, I’ve also kinda fell in love with the Grizl CF SL 7. It has a slightly more aggressive geometry and, of course, comes with wider tires. It’s technically a gravel bike, but I could easily mount thinner tires to simulate a road bike. It does cost a bit more at €2300 but features a carbon frame.
Now, I’m unsure. Do you think the Grizl is worth it? Is the extra cost justified? I’m a bit on a tight budget but I could make it work.
Also, will the GRX RX810 GS perform well on roads vs. the 105?
I’m confident that both bikes will meet my needs. However, I believe the Grizl might be more future-proof. What’s your opinion? Has anyone faced the same dilemma as I have? Which one would you choose? Both bikes will be back in stock in my size in December 2023, so I need to make a decision by then.
Thanks!
