In the UK for a family wedding, decided to try out the local trail centre while here. Soaked to the bone in the rain but decent grip and great conversation/riding with one of the local trail builders.
How’s it going subscribers? In a turn of events, we are in the UK of all places. Swinly Forest. Uh I’ve just been spent like 20 minutes looking for trails, but found this cool blue trail. This is kind of my first black on this white. I don’t even know what white is, but I think it’s a 140 bike. Must be a European brand. Pretty cool. I think this is a free trail. This is pretty cool. Oh yeah, look at this. Why can’t we have anything like this in Ontario and back out short and sweet? So, for a little bit of context while we’re at Swinink UK, no, I’m not making YouTube my profession and traveling around the world yet. I’m joking. This is just for fun. But I was around the London area for that’s a lie. I wasn’t around London. I just always say I’m around London. I was in Sheffield of all places, but flew into London and came back to London cuz I have a lot of family here. Anyways, one auntie had uh gone hiking in a place called Swindley as aunties like to hike. So, she knew I do mountain bike things or the bicycle things as aunties call it and thought I would enjoy this place. I have no idea where we’re going. We are just riding at this point. Kind of tired of fumbling around. Then hopefully we’ll get to the red trails. All right. I know I said I just wanted to ride, but I was kind of looking for some downhill bits and we finally found the red section after some flat traverses. I’m kind of hoping that this is cool. I mean, like this is very nicely manicured. Not a lot of roots and stuff. Oh, this is it. So, we found some red trails now. Higher number red trails. uh see how they are. I guess we are now in the typical English summer weather. Rainy, shitty, but these trails are very grippy. It’s kind of cool. still super grippy even in this muck here back in Ontario. This will pretty much be a no-go. I caught myself just quickly griping about, oh man, it’s raining and However, when you get to the top, you got to remind yourself that what a privilege this is to be able to go travel somewhere and just go ride your damn bike. See what we got here. Oh, cool. Okay. Yeah, this is what I wanted. Oh, yeah. Oh, this is cool. Oh, man. How lucky I am riding in these riding in the UK. It’s raining, but it’s super grippy. Oh, man. Why can’t we have anything like this in Ontario? Oh, this is beauty. Your heart out. Oh, this is cool. What a trail to uh trail builder out here. Basically just going back to Whistler and regrets his life. This is cool. So, we’re basically talking about how this holds up super well. Oh, yeah. Okay. It folds up nicely. Oh, that’s fine. Burns. Oh, it is nice. I wish I was here all day. Oh, nice bit of mud off gas. I can feel it [Music] everywhere. Woo. Okay, this is a bit more loose. This is a bit more of what I’m used to. Brakes is not holding up so well, but I am Got the goggles on back to the where we started. Okay. Little loose. Little loose. Is this one used? Can’t remember. Not bad.
