If you like mountain biking and enjoy seeing the
countryside then join me this week where I aim to discover some off-road hill climbs and new
trails in the North York Mo countryside i’ll be aiming to find some new routes in this stunning
area most of which I’ve yet to ride previously so it’ll be a case of ride and explore
see what’s in front of me and go with what takes my attention on these kind of
rides without much of a plan you can sure find some awesome new places along the way
which is exactly what I’m hoping for [Music] lovely area this very much the tops of something
yeah never been up here before so some nice uh views as well off the edge of here beautiful
views that’s kind of the nice thing about just getting out on the bike and checking places
out you just come across things like this it’s uh superb yeah so I’m just going to check out this
trail down here it’s like part of the same kind of plateau area that I’m in really so I might
as well kind of check it out while I’m at this level and uh might be a nice trail that leads on
something else so yeah let’s get going down here [Music] [Music] [Music] yeah it goes on for miles right I’m going
to say I’ll get on with this downhill and uh hopefully I’ll stay on the bike
and record all the way down let’s see [Music] woo that’s good made it down there it’s a little
bit sketchy at one point but mainly okay there should be a little bit few more downhills off
this uh next bit as well but yeah good fun [Music] yeah enjoyed that it was very good strong
headwind now though it feels windier now than it was up there strangely enough
but keep on aiming down this track now for a while let’s see if we can get to that
tower still really windy and a bit of a slug this section but a nice trail nonetheless
stunning views looking back to where I’ve just been yeah very pretty area this just
a bit of a grind that’s all keep on going man that was a grind yeah it’s not too far off
this kind of telephone tower structure which I always tend to avoid around here i don’t really
uh well I’ve always seen it but just never gone to it so I thought this time I would aim
towards it soon as I’m in this area and uh obviously I’m not going to get too close
to it because I think it’s all fenced off but just a point of uh reference to
aim for really knowing that the North York Moors is fairly just kind of dirt
track trails so it’s quite nice to kind of pick out somewhere to aim for nice bit
of water in there as well it’s nice [Music] though yeah it’s crazy how
tall that is way higher than I expected but now it makes
sense why you can see it for miles feels like it’s actually
overhanging me that’s how mad that is yeah good little find really nice to make
it up here and I’m just actually shoting from the wind as well which is quite nice cuz
it’s basically just like a crosswind the whole way here which means yeah that’s going
to be all the way back to the car as well so a bit of a grind see this uh
kind of hill in here of hill that I was looking at and on top of before
it was a good ride across here good ride good fun bit now heading back down
wind behind me bit of speed should be good all [Applause] right heat heat heat heat heat heat heat [Music] [Music] wow that was a good run thoroughly enjoyed
that some real speed coming off there and uh just free free flowing all the way down
really cool just getting a few bumps as well so it’s definitely worth uh grinding out kind of
those roots really knowing that potentially you can come back down them and uh have a great
time so that was a mint section love that i’m going to be heading back down this road
back towards where the car is uh definitely a few more inclines to come yet but a really
nice kind of route so far on this ride so yeah really cool i’ll try and show you the
map afterwards as well if you fancy kind of exploring some of this area just so you know
where it is more than anything and you can maybe make up your own routes and uh discover
bits and pieces that you want that’s all I do really just get out and enjoy it so right

it’s always been really windy up here so nice to do it in spring rather
than Baltic freezing conditions like it normally would be here thanks again
