Hello from Postcard in Province and we thought we’d bring you out on a bike ride today. Um up round Lacost out towards where have we been? Um well, we went nearly to Gourd and then we turned away because we know there’s lots of lovely poppies. So, we filmed those because they’re just incredible this year because we’ve had a lot of rain. And now we’re back at Lacost with one of our favorite views which you can just see behind us. And then from here on to Bona. But we hope you enjoy this little ride with us. Cheers for now. Bye-bye. After leaving Veil Route, we head onto the quiet roads through little hamlets up through the vineyards towards the ochres around Rousion which are absolutely beautiful. In summer coming through here, you can hardly hear yourself think because of the cicardas in the trees. It’s almost deafening. Once out of the trees, we start to sweep down this wonderful hill. It’s so quiet. It’s like a little cycle path and has beautiful views across the valley. We head down through the vineyards which are absolutely bright green this year. So much greener than we’ve seen before. Quite often stop under this tree for a drink and then past the lavender field which is one of the first to come out around us. At the moment there’s poppies which are [Music] beautiful and stunning views across and beyond the house there’s gourd on the hillside but not for us today. So we sweep down and then we come to the poppy fields and this year they’ve been magnificent. Honestly, the color of this one just stopped us in our tracks. It’s like a living Monet painting. It It just went on up the hillside into the next field and the color really is this bright. Needless to say, we had to stop. And with the oxide dazes as well, it really doesn’t get any prettier than this. But we dragged ourselves away, recrossed the valley, and started heading up the hill past the lavender fields. Won’t be long until they’re out. Continuing on past cherry orchards, which this year are absolutely groaning with fruit, and into the little village of Lacost to one of our favorite sitting spots, which is where we were at the start of this little film. Then on sweeping down through the bends, past the lavender field, which will be stunning shortly, with Lacos sitting above it. [Music] before sweeping down the hill with beautiful views across to Bona on the other side of the little [Music] valley and climbing up under the village which sits above ready for us to cycle through and then the wonderful downhill that sort of runs all the way back to apt. It wasn’t that long ago that these trees were covered a mass of white blossom. Then we carry on down past these beautiful views. This really is one of our favorite roads. more vineyards and then wonderful open views across the valley back towards Monontto on the skyline in the distance. If you’ve ever watched the film a good year, then you may recognize this particular spot. The views are magnificent. A monu looked absolutely spectacular today. [Music] In autumn, these fields are covered in red and gold leaves. It’s beautiful. And then final sweep [Music] down. Pass two domains. literally one next door to each other and on back down into apt cycling through the town center peaceful at lunchtime which is lovely and heading home for a well- earned rest.
