Okay, it’s race day. It’s race day. Oh my god. All right. So, we are through at Baldi Bash this weekend racing in the Yorkshire Dales. Look at the weather. Look at that. Do you see that? What is that? Uh to be honest, we had this for a long time now. So we drew some rain. H it’s so dusty. It’s insanely dusty. It’s like riding a Spain. Honestly, it’s so deep. Like we just did practice day today and some of the corners I’ll put in some clips. Some of the corners are just mental. Like there was proper deep sand in them. It’s so good. Yeah, it’s so cool. So course is around Well, I could have told you I just saved my strainer. Uh course is around 30 odd kilometers and about 900 meters I’ve got. Oh, good for you. Over five stages. Some big climbs between a couple of the stages like long transition from stage one to stage two. It’s T was pushing the legs on his on his normal bike. But it we got there we got around. It was good fun. Cracking stages here. Ha. Do you see Loras mustachio? Dart mustaches are the best. Usually it’s mud. Now it’s dust. So yeah, tomorrow race day. Yeah. Okay, it’s race day. It’s race day. It’s race day. Ebiker, it’s starting at 1:00. D is well. We are heading at 11:40. This is the rig of the choice. My NS Define perfectly placed very carefully and just going to have a quick drink and we’re going to go and pick up the pick pick up. What are we picking up? Pick pick up the timing. The timing chip and we are off. Uh the first climb is going to be savage, but let’s see. Uh can feel the legs after yesterday. So h let’s see how let’s do it. Right off to collect the chips. It’s a pretty big field. Times are going from 8:00 in the morning all the way to 2:00. And we’re off. It’s about an hour in the queue there. We’re absolutely frozen. Stage one is at the top of that ridge up there. It’s a fair old climb. Just arriving to the top of stage one. Was a 265 m climb. And the queue doesn’t look too bad. It’s a bit windy, so I can’t wait to get this one down. Uh, it’s a big grassy field and it’s going to be fast and loose. Scary. We’ll let you roll with Tom on this one then. Oh, no. Yeah. Take you for a ride. Watch for my bad lines. Good. Yeah. Yeah. You ready? You good? Yeah. Are you just going kind of behind? I have a we gap just for dust, but not much. Enjoy. Enjoy. Enjoy. Have a good one. All right. Thank you. Well then, guys. Come on. Oh, look. That was compression. Oh, there she is. She’s no farther [Music] back. That was awesome. Had a good run. Oh, was that Oh, [ __ ] Really good. I was so dead. I had you in my sight, so I was like, keep going. Yeah. Yeah, that’s good because you can take the lines. I You were a bit too red for that. I had a good run. That was really good. A bit of that tree just here, but then it was fine. Oh my god, I need to catch a break. Okay, let’s go to the stage. Way more than I thought. Let’s go to the stage two now, which is about 10 kilometers of travels. No, that’s a good start. All right. Good. Yeah. Go when you’re ready. You following him down or giving? Yeah. A few seconds and then it’ll be good. I should be fine. Yeah. Have a good ride. Cheers. Stage two. Brute. Oh, wrong way, Laura. That’s all right. Heat. Heat. Oh my god. Good. Yeah. I think I just wanted to hit a rock. Back in kicked out. No, that was early. Technical section. I rode really well. Oh, me too. I felt I couldn’t ridden that much faster. All right. Enjoy. You too. All right. Is it okay to go? Yeah. Enjoy. That’s leg’s gone. Over leaving corner. Yeah. Ah. I see you line there. Heat. Heat. Makes sense. I got Would it be okay to get one? Yeah, of course. Chuck it in. Thanks, mate. Well, you probably need to that size. I still got a little bit in. Thank you. How did you got on? Good. I made a few big mistakes in the woods. The wet the we dampy bit. I was just really tired and then I was getting off. I’m not meant to be here, but okay. Yeah. So, stage four was difficult. Stage three, you haven’t done four yet. Stage three. Stage three was hard. Legs were burning. They weren’t coping. I left them all out there. So, it was good. I had a good run. H. But if I would be fitter, I could do definitely better. What about you? Yeah, same thing really. I’ve not got the sprinting legs yet. So last year, last year was good. This year I’m not in the same place. So I was exhausted after the sprints for the actual riding. Whose fun is that? So we’re going up there now. It’s a pushup. Very long. Long and loose. And yeah. And then we’ll be at stage four. Let’s do it. Just finished that horrible push-up. That was so long. Mars bar. That will push me through. Ricks are running pretty well. We’ve got two stages left. And that should be us. What are we on now? 750 and 23k. Not far to go. The hope is there. Cheers. Stage four and off we go. Got a bit of a shoot here. It’s quite grippy yesterday. That is good. We got sandy. Welcome. Woo! That’s it. Oh. Oh my god, that was such a good line on the left. I was way too att. Uh, so we’re just about to to drop into stage five. This one was fun. And think we’ll take Tom could take you down this one. It’s his turn. I can’t remember anything. So, watch for the bad lines. Yeah, looking forward to finish now. And we’ve got maybe 4K 4K. Can’t even speak. 4K back. It’s a late one today. It’s half past 4 already. So, we’ll be back by 5 back up away by six. Super fun trails though. Really, really good. Yeah. Enjoy stage five. Oh, that was loose. Front just went there. This is savage. So much dust. No. Come on. Well, that B disappeared. Hey, there’s a pool here. I’m not putting [Music] Oh my god. And that was stage five, guys. That was really, really fun. So much fun. We both had a good run. So dusty. I have to be alive. Five stages done. No offs. Let’s go back to the dock. Ha. Thank you. Cheers. Thank you. That’s great. Cheers. All right, [Music] that’s us. So, Thomas beat me by 24 seconds. Shocked. Shocked. I took fifth. I was so I was so like annoyed. I’m like so close. 10 seconds of the third, which was my comfort breaking and jelly legs. Um, but I’m pretty happy. Like I I rode well for me. So, fifth place out of 12. And what did you do? I was like 120 over 200, I don’t know, in my category. Something like that. Yeah, it’s been a It’s a huge race. I didn’t actually realize how many riders were in it. There was like a thousand people. There was like just under 800 in the regular bikes and there was another 270 in the ebike category. Brendan took uh fourth out of like 270 which is amazing. Good results. Lots of local boys up there. Fast fast people. Yeah, really cool stages. Definitely going to do this event again. But yeah, pretty knackered. I’ve already had a power nap and we are heading we’re heading home. See you soon.
