    I’m taken to Cromwell Street to see the remains. So in looking down into this pit, there was the skeleton
    with the hair in place. Long, black hair. As lawyers,
    we deal with evidential matters and paperwork and so on, but here, you are looking at the result of criminality before your very eyes. The kids were right
    when they talked about Heather. We have found her. This was meant to be finding Heather. End of story. It turned out, tragically,
    that it was only the beginning.

      The story of Fred and Rose West is one of the most horrifying true crime cases in British history. I have no desire to sit through hours of human cruelty and darkness packaged as entertainment. Some stories are simply too grim to revisit, no matter how well-made the documentary might be. For me, this is an easy decision — hard pass.

      Poor Heather. Such monsters as parents .. there is also the rumour that Fred wasn't actually her father but Rose's own father was the man that impregnated her…
      Surrounded by evil. Heather and her step sister didn't stand a chance. No one that entered 25 Cromwell Street did.
      The poor victims.. what they went through. 12 (and perhaps more) girls, their lives snuffed out.

      Fred, of course, committed suicide as soon as he was caught proving what a coward he was. Rose is rotting in prison. The stain they've both left on the community ..

      Even though I’ve heard this horrific story so many times before on my true crime podcasts, it never gets old. The amount of evil in those two was astounding.

      I am from Australia. The West's no doubt killed my young neighbors mother Elizabeth Swann (google her name under missing persons). The UK police admitted to her daughter, they will never follow up on their other victims. But hey when police took part in the abuse and let him off with a 50 pound fine after an escaped victim filed a report well.. says it all. And did he commit suicide ? Like Epstein ? or did they have too much dirt to spread on the powerful ?

      Heather comes up in my mind every so often. I've always felt that I should go to her Forest of Dean to may respects to her. When I get to visit England, I will. I just want to go back in time and hug that angel. I hope they do the victims, including the surviving children justice in this show.

      I never followed this rancid, murderous couple back then. Like the Moors murderers, they disgusted me. I still refuse to watch anything to do with them even though both are dead.
      But I watched this. It was harrowing, to say the least, but I was able to witness the extent of the investigation. I love how one man explained that bodies were outside because there was no more room inside. Incredible.
      It was deeply moving to listen to relatives speak so lovingly of their
      precious family.
      I had heard the house had been torn down; that the depraved pervert had killed himself. I didn't realise his accomplice still breathes.
      More than anything, I hope the surviving children have been able to thrive and have excelled in life.

      If they put this much time into the grape gangs, this country would have lived through the biggest cover up in modern history. SHAMEFUL
