Pradyumna Kumar Mahanandia, an Indian artist, famously cycled from India to Sweden, spanning over 6,000 kilometers, to reunite with his Swedish wife. He started his journey in 1977 from Delhi and traveled through Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey, and various European countries, arriving in Gothenburg, Sweden, after four months. He met his wife, Charlotte Von Schedvin, in Delhi when she asked him to draw her portrait. After their marriage in India, Charlotte returned to Sweden, and Pradyumna decided to cycle to her. He faced numerous challenges, including mechanical issues with his bicycle and difficulties finding food and shelter, but ultimately his artistic skills helped him along the way.
